Baseball Fever - Check This Custom Camera

This is from MLB The Show 14, I found an exciting custom camera that I always wished for around the very end of season last year. It's got me excited for the return of MLB The Show to my PS4 Harddrive alone. Petition the publisher to import this cam setting to the future versions so I won't have to recreate it because it was difficult in the first place.

Please skip about 90 seconds for the start of the video it was a raw unedited recording. I simmed the game and just took over from where you see it.

That's really nice. Gives a good feeling of being in the box while keeping the batter in sight to maintain timing. Very cool

I've tried cameras similar to this, pretty cool. I honestly could not pick up on low breaking pitches though. Pitches at the knees looked pretty much the same as pitches in the dirt. I had to go back to a more traditional camera setting, something based off of one of the Catcher classic cams.

It is fun to tinker with the camera, though, just to change up the experience from time to time.

Yep, that is the main bugger and just the smallest meter off, in any direction, will drastically change the trajectory and view of the ball.

The key for this custom cam is seeing every player from the knees on up. Then having the distance far enough to know how deep it's traveled while you decide to swing or not swing at all. I believe any viewer could notice pretty comfortably when a ball was too low or borderline. It's definiitely better at tracking pitches that are too far inside and one's high. Balls outside will give you a hard time but that's often the case in real life too so that's still pretty fun.

I just lucked out basically and found a nearly 100% playable camera like this, for myself. When I reinstall the game next month or so, I'll be willing to share more information about how the camera was made.

          I love that camera too.

Btw, look at 3:45, the umpire clapping after you got retired. He's definitely partial, you should have put that game under protest

Looks cool. I skimmed the video, but were there any left handed batters? Does the view adjust for that?

They do a great job to mirror this for the left handed batter, no adjustment is needed but no left hander got up during this video though.
