Twins: knee blue socks. But these are not worn often.

IDK really not many players wear the higher or outside socks. Escobar sometimes wears up to the knee blue socks that match uniforms, but not many Twins show their socks from what I see.

The Cardinals throwbacks from the 80s within in the game show all-red socks. They should have the same stripes as their current uniforms. See Ozzie Smith/Tommy Herr from 1985 below...

This was fixed in this years game after I posted something on this right after the game came out...
the cardinals have ALWAYS had the stripped socks ... going all the way back to the early 20's.
I was very happy when they fixed it...

How do you want us to post images of throwback uniforms? I mean, I think it would be best to do it like we've been doing it, posting old photos of the old players wearing the uniforms back when they were the primaires.

Do you want them to be correct how they were back then, or do you want them to be correct to how they were in 2015? (Not to mention if a particular team even wore them in 2015?) I mean, the Buccos wear a different kind of sock today than they did back in 1971. The game has it under the throwback category, which should mean they go with the 1971 socks. But it also makes sense to go with today's socks because they wear it regularly.

This is mostly for throwbacks, because most of the striped socks for today's uniforms have been covered. I think we as a community could check on all the uniforms for all the teams in a timely manner. Or even for next year's game if need be.

Like going into the game, seeing what each option (high stirrup, low stirrup, sock) looks like for each uniform (Home, H-Alt, H-Throwback, H-Old Throwback, Road, R-Alt, R-Throwback, R-Old Throwback) and then going online to check the accuracy.

You'd be surprised as to how different each option is with each uniform. It's changed so much with the Cardinals over the years. For the high stirrups across each uniform... sometimes they have nothing, sometimes they have the three bottom stripes, sometimes they have all six stripes squished together in a 2 inch space, sometimes they have all six stripes squished together in a specific pattern that wasn't accurate with that uniform from that time period...

The Indians wear red socks (and red undershirts) anytime they wear their navy blue jerseys.. for both home & away

It looks like you guys are going for the 75 and 76 uniform.

In these pictures we have two different styles of sock, one of which is very close to what they wore, the other is completely off.


High Stirrup, first attachment from game

Instead of squishing the stripes together to make them all visible, I think it would be best to just move them up under the pant leg. It might be easier than making a medium stirrup length.

Low Stirrup, second attachment from game.

As you can see, the low stirrup from the game is wrong. This picture of Bill Lee is about as low as low stirrups got back then, so you can't really see that the top blue stripe is actually thicker than the others. Which leads me to...

Sock, third attachment from game

Here you can see the the top blue stripe better. If you make all the other stripes thicker, they will go down farther on the sock and make both the sock and low stirrup look better.

I'm not an Oriole fan, but this is my opinion on which socks should go with which set of pants. As of right now, the O's have nothing special going on with their socks or stirrups.

Home and Road

This three stripped stirrup should go with the home and road pants.

Home and Road Alt

These 1960s stirrups with white sanitary socks should go with the home and road alt pants.

Warmup Home and Road
I think you should keep these with the all black socks, white sanis.


Since the O's have the same home and road pants for their regulars, alts, and warmups, with this combination, we can use all three different pairs of socks and also have the choice of wearing all three kinds with all the uniforms.

Want to wear the orange tops on the road with solid black socks? Just choose the Road Warmup pants with the orange home alt and you're set. 1960s socks in spring training? Wear a set of Alternate pants with the warmup jersey.

For some reason, these uniforms have three different styles of hose. I have a solution. The first photo is what is historically accurate.

Since you can, apparently, override what style of sock the player is wearing, e.g. the Giants and their old throwbacks don't have a high stirrup option, I suggest you just override this issue by using the sock option for all high pant styles with this uniform.

These uniforms all have black hose.

Home Alt
The sock option has three stripes, while the low and high stirrups are blank.

I suggest that you add the three stripes to both of these, without squishing them on the high stirrups, and add them to the road alt pants. Again, since the Giants use the same pants for both home and road alternates as their regulars, this gives us the option use have stripped socks.

Unless you add a sock part to the 'select uniform' thing, that is.

New York/San Francisco Giants

Home and Road Old Throwback Uniform

It looks like you're going for the 1923 New York Giants uniform. The socks are pretty good, but there is one thing...

There is no way to wear high stirrups with this uniform. The first attachment is Brandon Crawford, who I had equipped with high stirrups as you can see in the previous post. Here he is wearing socks instead. I think this is a great idea, actually, and should be used for more for these old, turn of the century throwback uniforms whenever a player has a sock or stirrup option is equipped. It will avoid squishing or extra space.

(FYI, the second attachment is Brandon Belt with socks and the third is Bumgarner with low stirrups.)


Anyway, if we totally avoid the high stirrups for this uniform, then either socks or low stirrups will work well with this design. As you can see, Dress to the Nines is wrong on this uniform.




There needs to be another red stripe underneath the top blue one, which itself needs to be thinner, like the other stripes. So, basically, they copy and pasted the same pattern three times up the sock.

Old Throwback Home and Road


It looks like you are going for the 1913-14 era uniforms. During this time the Yankees had a big white ring around the middle of the sock. In the game, it is just a blue sock like the other Yankee uniforms.

Both of these are the same uniform, just with different hats. What is wrong is that the until 2001, the Devil Rays used black accessories and black socks. In the game, they have their 2001 and forward green socks.

The sock option for all the Blue Jays throwbacks is incorrect. They should probably be solid blue instead of looking like NFL socks or turn of the century socks. Both stirrup options are fine, though.
