Re: Anyone have any experience using an HDMI switch?
I've used this one for the last 4 years, with no issues. It's in my theater now on my projector and I've even used it for 3D gaming with no ill-effects. There's also a 3-port version, I believe:

Good to hear I won't have any problems with the switch! Thanks for the feedback.Comment

I got a Rocket Fist 4 port HDMI switch and it works perfect. No lag, and its just like you were plugged into the TV. Even supports 3-D and has a remote if you are lazy like me!

Re: Anyone have any experience using an HDMI switch?
Hello, I realize this is kinda pushing the rules of topicality, but hear me out. I recently got a new tv and it has not enough HDMI ports so I am considering getting an hdmi switch (like a power strip but for hdmi).
No brainer, but I have one concern: display lag. Baseball being what it is, I'm worried the switch will increase lag time on my tv and mess with my hitting timing. That's why I'm asking this here: has anyone had experience using an hdmi switch? I want to hear exclusively from The Show players because this is the only game I play. If the switch adds noticeable lag while batting, I don't want it.
So has anyone here used one? What were your experiences?
Any insight or advice is appreciated. Thanks!Let's Go Yankees!

Re: Anyone have any experience using an HDMI switch?
Sorry to bump a 2 year old thread, but I was about to start a new thread about this topic when I saw this thread.
I'm thinking about buying a HDMI Switch to try to possibly move more systems into one gaming area. I would be hooking up the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 3, and SNES Classic at this point.
I've heard people say that sometimes systems will turn off automatically when using a HDMI switch. Has anyone experienced that here?
This is the one I'm looking at as I don't want to spend a lot of money as this is only for convenience and not out of necessity.
EDIT: Sorry I had no idea that this was in the Show forum. I just saw the thread title and jumped in. Please move to a more appropriate forum mods if need be.Attached FilesI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I've used this one without any issue with 4K/HDR:

Re: Anyone have any experience using an HDMI switch?
I'm a cheapskate so I got an HDMI switch from ebay for like $4 about three years ago. It worked great for the first two to three months, but then it started having issues. The system itself wouldn't turn off, but I would lose the picture and the lights on the switch would just blink off and on as if it couldn't find the signal. The only way to fix it was to turn on another one of the consoles I had connected to it so it would switch to that one, and then I'd have to manually switch back to the console I was playing and it would work again. Then I'd turn the other console off. I actually dealt with this for like a year!

Re: Anyone have any experience using an HDMI switch?
I have that exact same one and it's been good to me as well. I have both my PS4 and Xbone hooked into it and never had any issues.Comment

Re: Anyone have any experience using an HDMI switch?
Recently got one when I got the Xbox One X since only my HDMI 1 does 4K and all the other jazz to make it look the best, and I've played The Show 17 on it multiple times and noticed no lag at all. If there is any change between just having it plugged into the TV then it's not noticeable at all.Comment
