    All-Star voting and Positions

In my game, All-Star Voting is incorrectly based on preferred/default position, instead of actual/played position.

For example, Wilmer Flores is 2nd behind Neil Walker for NL in votes at Second Base. I've used him at second base maybe 5-10 games. He's played about 60 at Shortstop.

Daniel Murphy has even better stats than either of them, has played 60 games at second base, and is nowhere near to be seen, because his "default" position is third base.

Has anyone else noticed/cared about this? Am I doing something wrong? I am using a custom roster and I've made a bunch of edits to players, so I'm not sure if this happens to everyone or is some sort of bug.

Technically, that is how it works in real life also, isn't it. Once a player gets added to the initial ballot at a particular position, that is the position he will stay on for voting, regardless what position he is playing on a Day to Day basis.

I don't think the game right now keeps track of games played broken down by position, so it probably has to rely on the primary position assigned for that player.

Thats exactly how it is. Whatever the players main position is no matter where u play him at. I wish the game would recognize where there being plated mostly and give the all star votes, awards etc accordingly.

Whats worse than the All Star system (which is fine IMO) is the way they give out awards. Stolen bases have no bearing and RBI are far too critical.
For shorter seasons average is way way too important. Playing in 29 game seasons if a bench player played 2-3 games and had an average of .750 1HR 2RBI he wins an MVP award over someone who goes 360/12/30

Overall I wish shorter seasons had records set to empty, I feel it would keep the mode more interesting for multiple seasons. at the very least create a system using division giving out an estimated record.
So Barry Bonds 73 Home runs divided by 29 games = the set record.

But I have the primaries set intentionally, to work around the fact that players play better at their primary position than they do others.

EG: I wanted to account for the fact that Murphy's best position is 3B even though he's basically an everyday 2B.

So I set his primary to 3B and his secondary to 2B.

If the All-Star thing is the trade off I can live with that, getting accurate performance is more important to me.

It shouldn't change their performance.. just their overall rating.... Right?
