Re: New 2016 Jerseys
The dilemma that the devs have is that the DBacks haven't announced when or how they are going to wear their uniforms. So they don't have any idea what jerseys will be worn the most.Comment

Re: New 2016 Jerseys
I'm sure the new home and road made it. The 2 alt slots who knows what they included they are so many options. I think the red jersey should get slotted into the bp slot so the black jersey and one of the white or grey alts could take the second alternate slot.

They have sooooooo many jerseys they are gonna have to dress a manikin in the clubhouse prior to every game with the correct combo.Comment

Re: New 2016 Jerseys
I forgot about the throwback, it should be safe to assume that that will take a throwback slot again. In past years the black jerseys were for Saturday night home games but when they revealed the new jerseys they mentioned they available for home or away.

Re: New 2016 Jerseys
I may be a little confused about this "style guide", but it sounds to me like MLB dictates not only what the uniforms are allowed, but how many. In fact it sounds like they are in control of every minor detail and even when SCEA knows the style guide is wrong they are forced to follow it as per whatever licencing agreement exists between SCEA and MLB.
I would not be surprised if it is true, MLB exerts ridiculous amounts of control over its products and enforces that control with vigor.
I think what I'm trying to say is that I don't think the devs have control over ANY aspect of the uniforms, including which ones will be in this years game or how many slots are available. They just produce what the style guide set forth by MLB tells them to do without any deviation.
Is this the situation?Comment

No,
Slot limitations is a SCEA thing. If they were forced to follow the style guide to a T they would be forced to add more slots because as is being discussed there will be uniforms in the style guide that will likely be left out due to slot limitations.
The style guide simply dictates what each uniform SCEA chooses to use in the game must look like.
Also, each team has the same amount of slots in the game but not all teams have an equal amount of uniform variations.Comment

Not true. The devs have said the number of uniforms are limited because the file size for each uniform is so big. They actually include alot of the alternates that they don't have slots for, you see them in the crowd. In the last stream you can see the Brewers gold alt in the crowd.
The style guide is basically just a PR tool so that every team is correctly represented when it comes to merchandise sales, media/print publications, things like that.
Even if the style guide isn't correct SCEA can't make the changes because they have to go by what the design/style is in the style guide. Each individual team is required to update their part of the style guide, it's not MLB's responsibility.Comment

Re: New 2016 Jerseys
That's kinda like putting old Yankee Stadium in in place of the current stadium making it in......mlb 16 should have all 2016 details accurate before we include retro anything

Re: New 2016 Jerseys
The fact is this: There is a slot system and SCEA is comfortable with it. If they did what you asked for, teams like the Yankees would have multiples of the same uniforms that they wear today.
I think that part of the reason that they have two throwback slots is because of match ups in RTTS and Franchise. If they were to put alternates into throwback slots, you could have the Diamondbacks softball jerseys against the 70s Giants (for example). Until they change the slot process, I doubt they expand alternates.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks
