Pop into pitching practice...sorta like pitchers and catchers reporting to spring training. Then get Bautista and Mr. Viking in the batting cage for some hacks.

This is always my favorite thread.

I always start by checking out the rosters for a little while. After that I normally play an exhibition game at Camden Yards with my O's against a divisional opponent. This year I might play my first game at a classic stadium though. After that it's usually a few more exhibition games (or a few innings each with different teams) and then I jump into a Franchise and go from there.

Same here. The Quest For Donny Baseball will be transferred right over and I will start playing. Then each day a new classic roster season/franchise file I have get's transferred in!

This year I am aiming for a fresh approach to MLB The Show. I am not carrying over a franchise, I am not waiting for a roster, I am not waiting for sliders. The day of release I will start my standard two franchises and my RTTS and I am not looking back.

No starting over, no "man I like that roster better" starting over, no "hey maybe I will try this team" I am so tired of wasting my time and not getting anything accomplished. Last year I got to year 3 of my Nationals Franchise and I just wasn't feeling it and ended up back in 14. I am playing 15 again now for the winter, "tuning up" for 16. But I am tired of bouncing around.

I am very seriously going to try to approach 16 with open eyes and no preconceived notions of good or bad. I may even stay away from The Show forums for a few weeks after launch, just so my mind doesn't get swayed by the enormous amounts of negativity and junk that seem to always follow launch.

I am hoping 16 is the year that I fall in love with The Show again. Not just playing it because there aren't any other options.

Exactly what I'm going to do, reason why I'm taking March 29th off from work. I need to dive right into roster edit section to see all new face scans. To me this game captures the essence of models better than any dev team.

Yeah, right! I tell myself this same thing every year, and every year I start new franchises for different reasons: Want to play an AL team instead of NL, want to play in city X because their stadium looks so good in this game, want to start over with team Y because of the rookies that have been added in roster updates... etc.

I do like the idea of staying off the forums for a few days at least, and just absorbing in the game for myself without any outside influence.

In the end, I'm guessing I'll do the same thing I do every year - play a few exhibition games, then start a RttS and stick with that for a week or so until the first real roster update, then try and decide if I just want to do a Cubs franchise, or a different team.

I always play the Nationals. I want another team just to keep things fresh. So in 15 I have downloaded an updated roster. Then I set up a post season with the teams I am interested in playing. I am going to play everybody's home games. Whoever wins the World Series will be my team in '16.

I'll play a couple of exhibition games checking out all the updates to Wrigley and new players. Then import my Franchise that I carried over from 14 and never look back!

Since I decided not to use my beloved Red Sox in franchise this year, I'll have to tryout the Cubs, the Mets and the Giants. Will then the start franchise with either team.

I realized last year that I have way more fun in franchise when not managing my favorite team, players, etc. Weird no?
