They are getting too trigger-happy with cuts with this "data" they collect. I can see cutting or altering something if lots of people are having issues and complaining, or they feel it is having a detrimental effect on the game.

Neither can be said for Stride or Presentation Cuts. Who was complaining about longer more immersive At-Bats?
    Sounds like a personal problem.

What kills me, is that they already have an option for those who want to skip all the broadcast scenes and jump from play to play.

Why butcher Broadcast when Quickplay is available?

I'm guessing most people don't mind skipping through with X because it's not a big deal, it takes a fraction of a second. And so they just keep Broadcast on.

I agree, but that data is collected weather someone button mashes out of frustration, time, or just for the hell of it that data is collected. That is what fast play is for. No sense in SCEA to waste their time on real time presentations if people skip through it for various reasons.

I have a very hard time believing they can reliably distinguish why someone is skipping through a scene.

Even so, it still does not make sense to remove them when the work is done, and they are already finished, and the upkeep to include them is miniscule.

They are actually still in the game if you go into Batting Practice Mode.

              Totally agree!!!

I also want to see more foul balls hit into the stands, catcher throwing the ball back to the pitcher after a pitch more often. Players coming out of and into the dug outs and so on and so on.

              I LOVE REAL TIME BROADCAST!!!

I'm not saying they can distinguish it. I'm saying it doesn't matter either way that info is being recorded regardless.

I agree on crowd and pbp! We no that "real life crowd sound" can be replicated, just watch any home team homer from mvp05, asb05, and you'll see the difference.
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!

I want to know why SCEA decided to use only data from online play to determine their numbers. There's just no way to know what the real numbers look like when adding in offline play.

                      Wait, is that actually true?

Actual online play or just connected to the internet?

They didn't use data from only online play.

100% correct if your connected to PSN we get your telemetry data. Every major game release tracks how users play the game. Don't know where guys are getting this misconception that we are only looking at online play.

If this area of the game improved i would be in baseball heaven. I wish gary thorne would be added on for commentary for future titles. His voice is captivating and brings excitement to the broadcast. The crowd could add a lot to the game as well if you heard an eruption on big plays.

They need to expand recall past homeruns. They have been stuck on hr recall replay for damn near a decade. I don't know why it hasn't trickled over into Pay off pitch, a strike out sequence, a great catch, a steal, or a great at bat. They have a strike out sequence that show the pitcher striking out x amount of batters, I think 10. They should shorten it to 5 and make sure it available for replay at the mid or end of inning. All the things I mentioned are already in the game. They need to used them and overhaul the frequency rate.

This is me mowing down 11 batters and I got this replay. They need to shorten this to about 5 and up the frequency in which they show this replay. This replay should show at 5, 10, 15 and so on
