2015 Franchise File import into 2016 - Vita

Sorry if this has been asked, but say I import a 2015 Franchise File into MLB 16 can it then be transferred to the Vita and played on 15? Basically, is the franchise file once imported into 16, backwards compatible to 15?

If so, I have a reason to keep my Vita, if not, it's going on craigslist.

While this would be awesome if it was, I'm guessing the answer is no.

No. The franchise stuff is only forward compatible. Best advice is to start a Vita only franchise that you can continue for years into the future because it doesn't appear they are making the game for Vita this year.

Ok yeah was looking at this so that I could keep transferring the franchise even after I play it on 2016. I guess I'll just start a 2015 franchise file with the last really solid roster before the servers close on the Vita and have a Vita-only franchise for awhile.

Pretty sure the Vita is doomed anyways.

It's a shame. I really enjoyed being able to continue a franchise while on the road.

Me too. I go on trips for work all the time and like to bring my Vita along. Since they announced its not coming out for vita this year, i dont even think I have turned my Vita on.

Yep, me too. I played more games on my Vita than my PS4 and I will greatly miss being able to flip back and forth. Remote play is just not the same, but still reason enough to keep my Vita (plus I can still play MLB 15 on the Vita). It is just sad how Sony mismanaged the Vita - it could have been such a great system.

Count me in the take Vita on work trips club. So disappointing to not have a game on the system anymore. I've gone back to MLB 12 and am playing with historical rosters. The game actually holds up really well.

MLB 15 will still be online for a while, so I'll likely just keep playing that on PS4 and Vita until the servers get taken down.

                MLB The Show 25 (PS5)
