PS3 versus PS4
I have a PS3 and played MLB 15 on it last year, I'm debating about getting a PS4 specifically for MLB 16 this year. No I noticed they are putting out MLB 16 for the PS3 still. What do you guys think? Is it worth getting a PS4 this year or just run the PS3 another year? I don't really play my console all that much, really the only thing I played last year was MLB, and I still have several games for my PS3 that I haven't played that I'm planning to. Obviously I don't need to get rid of the PS3, but I'm just wondering if I'll notice much difference. Do you think the new features for the PS4 versus PS3 are significant enough to warrant it?

Re: PS3 versus PS4
I don't think the features will be that much different. The graphics will look much better on ps4 if you want that aspect. The game should play normal as when I switched everything felt the same. I'd say keep the 3 unless you have some other friends you'd like to play games with that have the ps4. Try other sports games on the 4 if you get it as well. 2K and FIFA are both great titles that you should check out.- Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster out now! (MLB 25)

Re: PS3 versus PS4
If you do decide to stick with ps3 this year, I've got good news and bad news for you.
Good news: The Show is much cheaper on the ps3.
Bad news: This is likely the last year the show appears on ps3.Comment

Re: PS3 versus PS4
Likely.
There is no way to know for sure. I doubt the devs even know at this point. But if the lower cost of this years iteration and the fact that it's being totally snubbed in both the streams and the fact sheets isn't enough indication, there is also the expanded potential of the game as a ps4 exclusive and the proliferation of PS4 to consider.
So no, I don't know. However, if I were a betting man, I'd say this is the last hurrah.Comment

Re: PS3 versus PS4
I never understand threads like this. How can any of us know if it's better for YOU to go ps3 or ps4 for the Show? Ps3 is a dying gen console. Ps4 is the console for now.
For me personally? Why stick with the old gen when eventually its phased out anyway? However, I have no idea why anyone would listen to my gaming preferences on the internet lol.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York RangersComment

Re: PS3 versus PS4
I am in a similar spot OP. I have debated getting a PS4, but I too do not play as much as I used to. I think I have decided against buying a PS4. As mentioned above, not sure anyone can help you out too much since it will be based on your own preference.Comment

Re: PS3 versus PS4
In an effort to bring back the conversation to stuff that is relevent to the OPs question, it's a hard question to answer. There are several factors that need to be considered, including if buying a PS4 is a big deal or not financially (I assume the answer is yes because you're asking the question... ps don't EVER answer a question about your finances on a forum)
I'd say if you're struggling with the decision, you should probably hold out. There's always the chance that PS4 could go on sale in the near future, and even if it doesn't you still saved yourself some money this year. I'd wait to see all of the dev streams before making a decision though, just to make sure there is no "must have" feature for you that is exclusive to the PS4 version.
As for the PS4 itself, I highly recommend it. I know you don't play other video games but the PS4 already has a great library and would be a great starting point if you're curious about other games, particularly "games as art" type games or stellar indie titles. Those are great and don't take up much of your time.Comment

PS3 versus PS4
It's almost like you didn't even read his response and just went into defense mode.
He blatantly said he doesn't know how anyone could answer this question for anyone else which would fall into the "cant afford it right now" category.
He then said why he personally got a ps4.Comment
