I'm a little leery of someone declaring anything borked after a few hours with the game.

What point was his carry over saves from?
Was it a two year carry over?
30 team?
Single team?

While it sounds like something is amiss....declaring it "broken"(one of O.S.'s favorite terms right up there with "stale and old") might be a bit premature.

Agreed. I will see everything for myself 3/29.

I am sure if there are issues with the morale system and player roles on transferred files it can be patched.

Yeah.....the combo of Y2Y and introducing new features in franchise is going to be problematic. There is no way around it. Too many variables.

I'm sure they'll figure it out.

On this...what are the penalties for "ace/star" if not met?
Contractual only?.....ratings only?

Yep. If the Cubs somehow manage their own version of October Surprise, Cub Nation will increase tenfold. There'll be bandwagon jumpers that will claim they've been Cubbie Fans all the way back to when the Wrigley family actually owned the team. I'll go ahead & steer clear of that wagon & proclaim the Pale Hose as my favorite "Chicago" team, even though I do have a dog named Rigleigh (And a cat named Finweigh).

Carry over saves are a hallmark feature and I have to believe they will get a patch out to address the issues you pointed out.

Yeah, I hope so! I mean, they're not GAME breakers, but they definitely are a huge downer.

I used a save from end of offseason, one from end of regular season, and one from end of World Series.

It was a one year carry over.

After the first year, you'll see the roles adjust back to normal, but that is not until Spring Training the following season. For guys who play just one season per year, it's a big deal as it affects ratings.

Still not working properly (cough cough) are the stats being imported, the GM Goals being off by one year, not accounting for things like previous league leaders even when importing at the end of a regular season...but that's a big request (and not a dealbreaker by any means), Netherlands birthplace (perhaps that's intentional...easy to identify).

I actually can't decide this year really. I usually play as my Braves, but I want to take a break from them until next year when they move into the new stadium. I was thinking of rolling with either the Royals, Astros, or the Mariners.

There's not really any National League teams that intrigue me this year. Maybe the Rockies, but I think I'm going to roll with one of those American League teams this year.

I think I'll do a Cleveland Indians franchise for 2016. As a Mets fan in real life, I find the Indians rotation to be similar, and thus wanting me to play with them. I'll sign Cliff Lee to be the 5th starter, and Sizemore to be the RF'er, for some classic nostalgia.

I'll also be starting a Y2Y carry over fantasy draft franchise. This will allow me to not worry about needing to have up to date rosters throughout the year(s) that reflect all moves made in real life.

Thanks....Luis thought they would reset at some point......but it being during the off season of the following year sucks a bit.

Hopefully they can figure out a way to change that.

This will be my first baseball simulation that I'll be taking serious. With that said, I'm sticking true to my Indians and rebuilding for a championship!

I'm a die hard Yankees fan but looking to change things up a little this year, I've been living in Georgia for a few years now and go to Braves games about a dozen times a season. Thinking about doing a franchise with them as they are an in between team not quite rebuilding but not playoff ready either. Might just do a Yanks/Braves franchise and who knows maybe one year they can meet up in the WS

You know I have been giving this a lot of thought lately. With every other sport game I have ever played in my history of gaming, which is long I assure you, I have always picked the worst teams in the league and would do a rebuild.

I have never done so in The Show. I think because 162 is a long time to play with a team that is horrible. Not to mention it takes so much longer to build a team "realistically" in Baseball than it does in almost any other sport.

But after watching a few streams, which I am done with now ( I saw a few things that where amazingly cool and I want to be surprised and find out everything else on my own), that I have finally reached a point where I can do this.

So I will always run my Nationals franchise, but I think this year it is going to take a back seat. I am going to find a team that really just cant do it at all. No shot this year, nothing in the pipe line a total and complete mess. With this I am going to take my time, really sink my teeth in, like I used to do in the old days. I still have notebooks full of stats, number, notes, scouting etc from the days of Tony Larussa Baseball, High Heat and the like. Play my minor league games, do my scouting I mean really build this team into a dynasty shaped around how I want to play ball.

With that being said for the first time in a very long time, I am also not waiting for OSFM or Updates. I will play a couple of exhibition games Tuesday to just get the feel and enjoy the new game. But then we are off and running with what I hope will be the longest running franchise I have ever played.

I will let you all know on Wednesday who the lucky team is, that is if any of you care. LOL

i wanna do this so bad also, but man i just cant stand having to play my team and even not playing with my boys. but also...for u, if u struggle with a player like Harper you'd go freaking insane as same with me and Posey...its much easier to struggle with players ur not attached too. But also, i feel like id trade a player if i hit a 0 for 12 slump lmao

Can't decide if I should do a Yankees or Mets franchise.

Yankees fan and have used them every year, but thinking maybe this year try to take the mets over the top. Cant stand the old Yankee roster and the stadium and unis have gotten a little stale.

I would love to use a new stadium and some new brighter uni's.

Just get nervous that as the year rolls on and I watch my Yanks I'll eventually feel pulled to them again. lol Such a turturous process!

Anyone who would like to help convince me one way or the other please chime in with your opinion!

Typically, I play the Cardinals, but my last one was the Mariners, and I'm 3 seasons in on them. I'm thinking about going back to the Cardinals or maybe the Rockies. Hard decision at this point. Either way, I won't start until the OSFM rosters drop.
