    To answer the OP first.

Going with my Cleveland Indians and will bring a more aggressive approach than they've had for quite some time.

Now... in response, props for switching to PS4 for MLB16. I'd also suggest getting Bloodborne as it is also a PS4 exclusive and is probably one of the best games of this generation.

I could say something very similar about the Jays lineup

After seeing the Conquest stream yesterday, I am not sure I will find time for Franchise this year.

Very true. That lineup is going to mash, I might have to play some Jays games hoping to get into a Bautista Bat Flip Situation

Re: Who will you play as in Franchise Mode?

Not sure if I should even be posting here as I am a Season mode player. Not a Franchiser. But Franchise is the closest mode to Season mode, so what the heck.

I am in need of mixing my 2016 Season up. I need to do something different this year in an attempt to keep the interest alive if I have any hope in playing all 162 games versus losing interest and let the CPU complete the schedule. Now I am a Rockies fan, but it's not easy playing with a team with one of the worst starting pitching rotations and one of the worst bullpens. So in 2016 I have decided to shelve the Rockies for at least one year and I have decided playing 81 games at Fenway Park with the Red Sox might be just what the doctor ordered in terms of keeping the interest alive. It's not that I am a huge Red Sox fan. It's more a case of playing half my games at such an iconic ball park that attracts me to the desire of using this team in 2016. Plus I am looking forward to hopefully, knock on wood being able to beat the hated Yankees and yes beat the hated Blue Jays. haha

Now I realize the modified 2016 OSFM roster I have been using in Spring Training will be rather different than the SCEA default rosters dropped on release day. But I can't help but notice the strength of the Red Sox bullpen compared to what I am used to playing with using the Rockies. I will probably give up some offense and possibly give up some field skills as well. But as I said, the strength of the team appears to be their bullpen. So I am looking forward to calling on Uehara, Tazawa, Smith and of course Kimbrel late in my games to see if they can shut down the opposition bats and win enough games to keep the interest alive during the "Dog Days of Summer".

Need some help here. I usually do a franchise with the Phils every year but I would like to switch it up. I am looking for a team who is pretty bad but has a high cap. I dont mind if they have players with a higher payroll right now because I can trade/cut them but looking to rebuild a team with young guys and have the ability to pick up a few quality free agents. Thanks guys!

Lots of money will be freed up once guys like Teixeira, Beltran, Headley, guys like those retire/contracts end. Although I always use OSFM, I never really took the minor leagues seriously. But this year I plan on paying more attention to the prospects and building a team I want to see on the major league level in the future.

Also, with the addition of player morale this year, it'll be even more interesting. I plan on promoting Aaron Judge and Heathcott sometime after the All-Star break if their numbers warrant such a call. Also, I'm done signing veteran has-beens. With a new generation of fans, comes the time for new generation players. I want to build the team around young, home-grown talent as much as possible. I want to see farm hands contribute to the great Yankee tradition and hopefully set a name for themselves within Yankee lore, and will do everything to keep them happy, which includes surrounding them with other great, young talent - when and if at all possible.

I was lucky enough to grow up with Jeter, Pettitte, Rivera, Williams, and Posada. Would be great if I could field our top minor league talent to fill similar roles. This includes having them play often, and giving the remaining, deteriorating veterans a day off.

We will be a younger team from here on out, and our rotation will be as stacked as possible, but will be smart about contracts. Will not be signing anyone for more than 4 years. Can't wait!!
I am sick of all of the old guys...I want to grow some talent from within also and keep getting younger.

Going with the Yankees as always. That is where I spend most of my time. Then I usually play some games here and there with my NL team the Cubs and a fantasy draft team.

I'm trying to do something similar. Only teams I think of are Brewers and Reds. Seems like there are no options in the AL.

Thought that was going to be the Rays or Rockies. Guess I got the first letter right.
honestly teams with zero WS Titles are a big draw....winning a franchise's (or City) first title is something that always makes me wanna play with teams like Rays and Rox

Die hard NYY fan....I'm curious tho...I'm pretty upset with the 16 player ratings for them. I understand they were hurt...why should their ratings be affected so much...would it be completely bias of me to update these guys for my franchise???

                            Tanaka - 91, Ellsbury 89, TEX - 88, AROD - 85, Gardner - 84, Beltran - 86 ( who had an awesome year, and is still underrated...) ???

Jacoby Ellsbury is a top 3 CF...some may disagree and I realize he is injury pone...but since when does durability bring your rating down??? 2014 was an excellent year for him and he stayed healthy.....and as for Tanaka he was the best pitcher in baseball before his injury....to not even be in the top 10 is a joke.

I mean, if you made those your ratings it would be completely biased, yes. It would be ridiculous to make those ratings when you compare those players with other players at their positions. And Beltran had quite a mediocre year for him(.276/.337 and 19 HRs with below average defense).

No way is Ellsbury a top 10 CF, let alone top 3. He's played plenty the last 2 years to prove his 2011 season with Boston was an outlier. He has not hit over .275 or had an OBP over .330 the last 2 years plus his stolen bases are dropping. Yes he is hurt a lot, but when he plays he doesn't play anywhere near what the Yankees paid for him. Plus Tanaka has never been the best pitcher in baseball. He had a hot start to his career, but hasn't been consistent enough yet. He has a lot of talent, but he hasn't shown it enough yet. If he's 87/86 rated, then he's in the right spot.
