I play because I love baseball.

This game is the closest thing to playing MLB as most of us will ever get.

RTTS has become my go to mode.

This year I will put more time into DD and MOM.

I really enjoy this game.

I play to have fun. But I'm serious with my franchise, meaning I play to win. My ultimate goal is to be the World Series Champs!

It's a game that is a video simulation of a real game. It should be fun. Webster's defines game:
1a (1) : activity engaged in for diversion or amusement

That's it for me, something I do as an amusing diversion for an hour or two (or 10) at a time .

Well, something can be a diversion, while still being important to someone though. For example, when I play a sports game, I only do one player, offline franchise. I play every game, and really, really get into the offseason GM aspects. The whole process is meaningful to me.

That could be opposed to someone who only plays single games online, where each game is only meaningful in that moment, and has little to no long term value to the individual. For that person, the game is more light hearted and fun than it would be for me, though we both are playing the same title.

Play serious but my pleasure of playing is my time to relax. Currently playing season mode and 35-30 record and enjoying every bit of it. Haven't played as would like but move from East to West coast plus marriage and first child has taken its toll lol

Click on the link in my signature and you'll see my answer. Anyone that runs a site for their franchise probably takes MLB The Show a little TOO seriously... and that obviously includes myself.

Is that site hard to use? It looks cool. I may want to try it this year. Can you give me a little synopsis?

Just fun for me. I wish I had more time to invest into all the cool game modes, Diamond Dynasty, etc, but I really don't.

I DID do a whole season as the 1990 Braves last year, using the 1990 rosters somebody created (God bless them!) and had a blast. Was WAY cool nostalgia to see all the old players (Griffey, Maddux, Glavine, Bonds, etc) that I remember from back in the day.

I played one game from every series, until the playoffs, when I played 'em all, and lost in the NLCS. Great fun though, I'll probably do that again with '16.
