I am a MoM player who's is one week ahead of the real world schedule (so I am now playing 1st week of September games). From Spring training, I played every game for my team as a MoM game up until the beginning of August. But the dog days of summer hit and I have been playing CPU vs CPU games since. I do however plan of getting back into playing MoM games as September progresses near to the end of the regular season. My team is still very much alive in the playoff hunt and it would be good to close out the regular season playing the games again.
To answer your question, all my players (not just the pitchers) have been hot and cold at various times throughout the entire season and when a pitcher's confidence is low, unless I am desperate and need someone in the game because nobody else can pitch, then it's best to sit the player. But for sure I have seen their confidence yo-yo up and down throughout the entire season.

Really enjoying the game still.
