RTTS player creation

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to build up your player to bat in the 1 or 2 spot? I always build up my contact, vision & discipline as high as I can. I try to avoid getting my power past 60. But I always end up hitting in the 3 or 4 spot after one or two years in the majors.

I think if you are more of a Speedster type player, you are more likely to bat in those spots.

Adding points into Speed, as well as Stealing and Baserunning Agression probably helps too.

Speed helps but I think I would boost contact and maybe some of the secondary skills like plate discipline and baserunning/stealing


High power and clutch might be the stats that push you down to 3 or 4.


Can you go into exhibition or another mode and look at the ratings of the players the game puts in the leadoff spot?

That's basically what I do already. I'll check & see what the attributes for leading hitters look like when 16 comes out.

I did a shortstop a few years ago and hit leadoff. The secret (I think) is not raising your power at all. Leave it low, like in the 30's or 40's that should do it. That's what I did at least.
