I have been able to get it early almost every year bur this year is tough. I have emailed every seller on ebay and haven't heard back from any except one who says he won't have until Friday or monday.

It's not MLB it's every game developer. All games are received a couple days sometimes weeks earlier to retailers..but they still want it to be sold on the release date. I work at Target and we get games pretty early sometimes but we can't sell them until the release date or Target can get in trouble

It really doesnt have anything to do with MLB. Every game has a street date and places get in trouble for selling them early.

It's not an MLB thing.

It's not MLB it's every game developer. All games are received a couple days sometimes weeks earlier to retailers..but they still want it to be sold on the release date. I work at Target and we get games pretty early sometimes but we can't sell them until the release date or Target can get in trouble

Then I should rephrase my query. Why does Company X (or the government) care if product Z is sold a few days before the 'official' release date?
