What are some things I am going to miss from the PS3 version?
I bought a PS4 in November of last year and so MLB 16 The Show will be my first for PS4. I played 14 for PS4 at a friends a couple of times but I am wanting to know if there is anything I will miss from the PS3 version when I switch over to the PS4 version. What things have changed for the better and for worse? For instance, are load times longer? They certainly were in 14 for PS4. Has anything you've been doing on the PS3 version been altered or eliminate from the move to PS4? I have been playing a lot of 15 for my PS3 and have been playing on PS3 since 08 so what are the main differences that you have noticed aside from the graphics and exclusive game modes?Tags: None -

The lack of spring training stadiums on PS4 is brutal. It is absurd that they prioritized more minor league stadiums over having more than 1 ST stadium per league last year. Outside possibility they added back more ST stadiums this year but pretty sure they would have touted it. -

From one aspect, this is a good time to make the switch: PS4 Show 14 & 15 didn't have classic stadiums, if that's an interest, as Show 16 on PS4 will have them. Also, well documented by now, SOTS will make it's PS4 debut. I can;t really say that I know what PS3 Show will have that PS4 doesn;t.T-BONE.

the ps3 controller: it is superior to the the joysticks on the ps4 and they make it hard to move guys smoothly and i am still playing the ps3. i just picked up 15 two days ago and i am lovin it. i had a ps4 and the only reason i bought it was the show and i was pleased but i missed the way the ps3 version felt when playing . ps4 controllers are a deal breaker for me. i had been playing ps2 mlb 07 all summer so the ps3 is a huge upgrade for me. beautiful.Comment

Hmmm. I know you can use the DS4 with to play the PS3 version of MLB The Show 15 but the rumble doesn't work. You can't use DS3 on a PS4. Odd that you find the DS3 to be better than the DS4. Is that the general consensus here or one man's opinion?Last edited by Beatles; 03-23-2016, 02:08 AM.Comment

Until now the only issue i have ever heard about the DS4 sticks is the rubber peeling off. I sure didnt notice any difference with the sticks as far as playing.Comment

I appreciate this but it doesn't answer my question in regards to the PS3 version that I have been playing since 08.

Re: What are some things I am going to miss from the PS3 version?
It's easy from a conceptual standpoint, but difficult physically. Requires a fair amount of force to open those things, but at the same time you have to be careful, plus resetting or replacing the springs on the L2, R2 buttons is ridiculously finicky.
If you're feeling brave I recommend trying it though. I saved a ton of money refurbishing my controllers. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that show you how.Comment
