Many thanks Cardinalbird for posting the batting camera videos.
Offset zoom will be my camera for sure. That is very similar to catcher zoom 3 which was my camera on 15. I must feel like I am in the box. Reading pitches is far more realistic and easier for me with that approach.
Are the uniforms the same in both the PS3 and PS4 version?
You're asking this in the forum for ps4 so no one here will be able to answer that for sure.
You should probably try asking in the ps3 forum first, if anyone has the game, and second if they can compare the uniforms to those that have been posted for the ps4.
Can't imagine they would be different but not many on ps4 can tell you for sure.
Ok I'm back with another question about precision input and directional hitting. Though I'd also love to hear about zone, especially center swinging since that's what I do.
Are you guys getting rewarded for swinging a little early on inside pitches, especially with timing/directional and even more so when your intention was to pull the ball?
Same for outside pitches except for swinging late and intending to push the ball.
or are those considered the inaccurate inputs and is it mostly good timing that is rewarded?
Is there a video or individual screenshot for each batting camera posted somewhere?
Although "Fisheye" is interesting (and will be tried), I created my own in MLB 15 based off of the "Catcher Zoom" camera (#2, I think). I just read someone saying they thought all "Zoom" cameras are gone.
Are they? I'd love to see a video or picture of each option. Thank goodness we still have custom camera (that was confirmed by Russell himself on video or in a forum post), but with no zoom as a basis it will be harder to get what I want.
Thanks!
There is a strikezone cam, zoom camera, and offset zoom camera. I'm loving the Zoom camera thus far
I haven't seen him in a stream yet, can someone tell me if chapman still pitches from the windup or just the stretch, also does gary sanchez have his own stance ?

The timing window is more open so its naturally easier to pull pitches thus making it harder to stay back on outside pitches.
However, you need good pci placement with zone or it will not matter.
As far as directional hitting, timing is your only input and influencing a side to hit to has no correlation with the success of your hits and timing the ball. The placement of the pitch dictates whether you need to be a bit earlier or later with your timing.

I must say the team did a fantastic job with this years game! Immediate impression to me is they successfully gave the game a "new feel" with its play style and presentation. Also, I think the stitching on the commentary is nicely done and you can really tell work was put into it and like where it is heading. I have seen some people comment that they hear no difference, my recommendation to them is get some Q-tips.

I am a terrible hitter. I enjoy pitching more in MLB the Show. What's the best way to improve my hitting? What about playing the game and enjoying the presentation without sacrificing too much of the "casual experience?"
Could some one please post a screenshot of the Fenway Park Green Monster scoreboard at night please? With a hitters count with a ball and a strike and an out.

Well theres a number way to hit. Start on dynamic difficulty with your preferred hitting interface and work your way up.
For presentation you can use hybrid to get a good mix between fast play and broadcast. You can also try quick counts or player lock to get through games faster.
