How is the trade logic in this game? I was able to fleece tons of teams in MLB 15 the Show.

I managed to take the Yankees starting rotation and turn it into Chris Archer, Cole Hamels, Carlos Carrasco, Garret Richards, and Ian Kennedy. I can turn Hamels into Sonny Grey (not too keen on that because I rather have a controllable pitcher without having to pay big $ for Gray). I have Severino in my bullpen too. I was able to trade Tanaka for Starling Marte straight up.

The trade logic isn't too good because I can trade a Top 50 prospect straight up for a Danny Salazar or a good young MLB pro.

In the game? Or throughout the series? I fleece the AI with ease tbh. But that's in 15.

If your goal is to collect the best overall players and mortgage the future.....Any game, any sport, unless you have some ground rules you will run into that.

Funny thing is that I haven't mortgaged the Yankees players. I lost Starlin Castro to injury. He tore his hamstring in spring training. I traded Brian McCann, a random RP at the single A level, and some mediocre SP for Hamels, Tollefson (some CP), and a MLB ready catcher.

Castro for Warren and Brendan Ryan works too. Idk why the trade logic is not based off "difficulty" levels.

Can you trade team-controlled minor leaguers in the offseason prior to renewing their contract?

It was removed visually altogether last year but the year before it moved with timing only. People kept questioning the randomness they saw so they removed it.

People questioned it because it was random. It's still random (or it was in 15) but you just didn't see it.

They couldn't really add anymore spring training or minor league stadiums due to the amount of work and time it took to build the retractable roof stadiums.

Some of the minor league stadiums look like spring training parks. I always mix it up in spring.

Just curious, what MiLB stadiums do you use for ST?

Depends on what team I am. If I'm in the Cactus League Ironhorse stadium looks like a Cactus League park.

Majestic Falls could pass for a Grapefruit League park.

Sorry I'm not in front of the game, those are just 2 examples off the top of my head.

Anyone have an idea on which hitting cam is the closest to 'catcher classic' from 15? Isn't in 16 and I don't really want to switch to something too different.

For those who are in franchise mode how is the cpu roster management? Do you see a lot of teams carrying 3 catchers or first basemen?

I used catcher classic 2 and it's not in the game. Best I've found is to go into custom and start with the MLB 15 cam, move down, angle down and zoom in.

Anyone notice if Starling Marte has a proper face scan yet, or same as before?

Could some one please post a screenshot of the Fenway Park Green Monster scoreboard at night please? With a hitters count with a ball and a strike and an out.

Every baseball game I've ever played lets you get away with robbery. I thought MLB 15 The Show did a pretty good job but it was still plenty easy to get elite players. I use the Angels and was able to get Bryce Harper(was tough to get), Manny Machado, Chris Archer, Shelby Miller, Brandon Belt, Dee Gordon, Brock Holt, Jose Iglesias, Mauer and some other guys without giving up Trout and being able to keep guys like Richards, Santiago, Heaney, Perez etc.

Bottom line is if you want to trade for a guy, you probably always will be able to pull off a trade that isn't fair in real life but a video game can only do so much. It's more up to you to trade what you think is fair or realistic. I personally will trade for guys I know probably will never hit FA or it will take many seasons before they do.

Does Arrieta not have a cutter in the game? Saw a video on youtube where he had only a sinker, slider, 4 seam and a 12-6 curve.

Not having a cutter on Arrieta is ironic as hell.

Hopefully this is fixed in an update. Replace the slider with a cutter and give him a changeup as a fifth pitch
