Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
The MLB lineup thing is driving me nuts. It's a small thing, but you have to fix it every single day you play, and then if you want to sim a game or 2 you have to go in to the game to keep things the same otherwise chaos.
Weird that they did that.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
This is a specific question about pure analog hitting: How important is the stride right now?
I've seen some people saying it is more like a cosmetic thing, like a placebo.
Is it true?
Cause i only bought 15 in December, after a big price cut, because i was mad at SSD for removing the stride from the game.
I wasn't surprised to see the stride back in the game in 16, and honestly, it reminded me of how EA deals with features in Fifa, removing one or two things from the game just to add them back a couple iterations after removing them.
Also, and it is really important to me, what's the deal with frame rates?PSN ID/Street Fighter V Fighter ID: razorkaosComment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
It's not weird if you're simming weeks at a time. The game is dealing with injuries and players needing days off, plus possibly a player getting subbed out because of poor performance.......by simming that many games in a row, you're forcing the game to deal with day to day team activity, instead of doing it yourself.
You can easily sim each game by going in to "sportscast manager" (i think that's what it's called) so you can deal with the daily lineup and sim the game without fully entering each game.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Hoping I'm posting in the correct spot....I know the game has multiple broadcast presentation packages but i get the same one every time with the huge scoreboard. Is there a way to change or is it just random?Comment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
I have a question about secondary positions. As I understand it, a player gets a 5% fielding attribute(s?) reduction when playing in his secondary position. Is that always the case, even when a position might be more implicitly listed, as in via "IF" or "OF"? For example, if I have a CF, will he only get a 5% reduction at RF whether his secondary is "RF", "LF/RF", or "OF", or do those more generic secondary positions come with a greater penalty?Comment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
Hi there, If I have a guy on 3rd and 1st base how do I steal just 2nd, I can't figure out which buttons to push?
I find its not clear on the controls screen. I push the L trigger to the left for first base and L2 and it sends both runners.
Any help I'd greatly appreciate itComment

Too bad they don't allow us to use the OF/IF as a primary position....so utility players that play multiple positions don't get any penalty.

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
Yes they don't explain it at all in the controls guide either. All you do in that situation is push the left analog stick to the right to select first and then press L2 and only the man on first will take off for 2nd. I think you had the analog backwards. I just look at the controller like a baseball diamond for everything. Push and hold the left stick towards 1B and push L2. This will just send the runner on first.Hi there, If I have a guy on 3rd and 1st base how do I steal just 2nd, I can't figure out which buttons to push?

If you push L2 without picking a direction, that sends all runners.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 16 Q&A Thread
Has anyone noticed in franchise that their bullpen may take a dip in their energy if they are not used after a few games. I had two consecutive blow outs following a day off early in the season and was able to save my closer and setup men (Osuna & Storen) they had full bars of energy at the end of the second game. So total of 3 days off. I started the third game of the series and they both took an equal dip in energy I'd say maybe 15%. Is this something anyone has seen before? Could it be to replicate a lack of work / mental fatigue?Comment
