RTTS issue with Trade Logic...

I say this even though there is no no logic to it.

First, let me say that I absolutely love this game. When it first came out I bought a PS3 so I could play it. I have purchased every year since then. So, I do know of what I speak.

My beef is that trades happen that would NEVER EVER happen in real life. For instance, I play as a 2nd Baseman and get called up to my Dream Team, the Dodgers. I play into 2nd season and work myself up to Triple Crown contender and MVP candidate. So, what do the Dodgers do? They trade Kershaw, the face of the franchise, arguably the best pitcher or player in baseball to the Astros for of all things a 2nd Baseman(Altuve). Now I know he is a good player, but he can't carry my jockstrap in this game. This almost ruins the game for me.

How difficult can it be to give us the ability to make trades, veto trades or even a switch to not allow computer trades. If this was an isolated example I could live with it, but it happens all to frequently.

Thanks for this awesome game, but PLEASE fix this.

you know the odd thing about that, for some reason it almost feels like Kershaw always gets traded, he got traded in my RTTS shortstop save, as well as my centerfield RTTS,

Did you at least get a Mike Trout or Buster Posey or Goldschmidt for him? LOL

Maybe I should have said did THEY get since you probably were not playing as Dodgers.

In 2015 I started with the Cardinals in RTTS.

Then, while I was in the minors I watched them trade Wainwright, Molina, Lance Lynn, Jhonny Peralta, Matt Carpenter, Matt Holliday.

By the time I got to the majors the only starters left of the position players were Kolten Wong, Matt Adams and Jason Hayward (ironically).And Wong was gone by my second year.

Then to top it off in my second year, while I was still in a club friendly contract and led the league in Avg and RBI they traded me to Texas.

That type of fire sale mentality is so unlike the Cardinals that it killed some of the fun.

actually my shortstop, i was with the Mets, and i got traded to the dodgers for Puig and someone else, but the dodgers then traded kershaw to the Rays for evan longoria, and a couple other guys.

Back in MLB 14 in my RTTS I saw Alexei Ramirez get traded 5 times in the span of a week or so. No joke.

My RTTS Starting Pitcher has been traded 5-6 times.. it's ridiculous. (99 ovr)

I was playing for Colorado as a second baseman. In my rookie year, they traded Tulo and Arenado to Boston for the Panda and Brian Johnson...why? There really is no logic and I'm really looking forward to adjusting the trade slider as much as need be to limit these stupid trades.

Does rtts use the same trade logic and progression/regression system as franchise?

If your team wants to trade you, is there anything you can do to stop it or is your rtts destiny entirely in the hands of the scatterbrained AI?

if you have trades set to on, youre at the mercy of the AI.

I may be completely wrong but I am pretty sure I have never seen a slider or option to turn off trades in RTTS. I apologize if there is one there but I play RTTS almost exclusively and can't say that I have ever seen it.

I haven't seen it either. But I'm fairly new to RTTS and I haven't logged into mine in a couple days. So I will look again when I do. If it is there, then the question becomes: if you switch it off, are you switching off all trades in general, or just trades involving your own player?

We've fixed the issue with superstars getting traded too often, and we also added a trade slider so you can turn off trades entirely, if you want.

I got traded a year after I just signing a 5 year extension with the Nats. I had just won the MVP and we won the WS and were primed to make a deep run the next year. I was disappointed to say the least. I was ready to stay in Washington, after bouncing around playing 3-4 years each with a couple other teams, and wear the Nationals cap in the HOF.
