Every time I have been called up it seems that my overall rating is very close to, or a little bit above the starter for the MLB team at my position. It seems like you need to be playing well and be close in overall rating to be called up. If you keep an eye on your overall and do not let it get too high, I think that could be a pretty reliable way to go about it. I have never tried to stay in the minors longer intentionally, though it would be more realistic to do so.

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
Just hit for the cycle with my RTTS first baseman in AA. Went 5-5 with 5 RBI with a single, single, double, triple and home run in that order. Hitting .347 with 19 home runs and 54 RBI in a 202 at-bats on the season so far.

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
If anyone hasn't used the sounds of the show in rtts, I highly recommend. Nothing like walking up to the plate with The Boys are Back in Town.PSN: Dalton1985

So there's no way to use equipment but without the boosts they give? I want this to be tough, but would also like a decent looking bat, glove, etc.
I'm using my sliders and making a 22 year old as that seems to be the best age for a guy starting at AA.
Hope we see some A ball and rookie leagues in '17.@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
So being that it's almost that time of year again, and especially being a Mariner's fan and being required to buy this year's version of the game, I'm thinking back to 16 and wondering, did I even play the game? I bought a PS4 Pro last night so before doing so I was going through my save files and I don't see anything on 16. Same with trophies being completely blank. I really should stop buying sports games...Comment

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
I've got a question dealing with commentary name and accessories. I have sunglasses set to "always", due to the creepy eyes the players have, but my player never wears them.
My second issue is the commentators won't day my name, which is Jason but they will say Big Daddy, Buckeye, Cap, etc.. Any help will be appreciated.
edit: now they won't say any name listed, strange.

Re: Official MLB 16 : Road to the Show Thread
I'm using SOTS. It's absolutely awesome and after you play with them awhile you can never go back to just default stuff. Walkup music, HR music, crowd chants, crowd jeers, hits, RBI's, etc adds a whole new level of immersion. My current RTTS I play with the Braves and I have every away team on my schedule loaded with their SOTS as well as my own home sounds of course. Nothing like coming to the plate in a clutch moment and the crowd erupting into the tomahawk chop chant.
Couldn't agree more... highly recommend trying this if you are not currently using.Last edited by taterskin; 05-16-2017, 08:57 AM.Comment

I always use sounds of the show too due to the awful default music the game comes with. It's a great addition.Comment
