Thanks for the response. Much appreciated. This is before day 1. I'm trying to start off with them. I like the Indians, but they have so many 1 year veterans (Uribe, Napoli, Davis, Byrd) who come with a decent price. I want to get rid of Byrd. Could you think of anything that doesn't give up Frazier, Naquin, or Zimmer?

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Not a problem at all. If guys like Kaminsky, Aiken, Sheffield and Bradley are in play then yes, you could get an outfielder. Although, if it's Peralta I think you'll have to part with one of your outfield prospects. The problem I see is that Cleveland's system is pitching and outfield top-heavy. There aren't many more positional guys outside of Bradley and the OF trio, Bradley would be blocked by Goldschmidt. Thanks for the response. Much appreciated. This is before day 1. Byrd won't have much trade value, but if you're just trying to dump him I doubt that's a problem.Comment

D'Backs would do Peralta and O'Brien for Byrd, Eric Stamets (70 C), and a B starting pitcher prospect. Not a problem at all. Pirates would do Harrison for Brady Aiken and Jose Ramirez and any young C prospect.
I think the Pirates trade seems pretty realistic. The D'Backs seems lopsided in my favor, but for some reason Stamets has some pretty good stats considering he isn't great in real life and has a lot of value on the trade meter. What do you think overall of both deals? They seem okay to me, but I'm just wondering your opinion.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Looking to start a new franchise with the Indians. I would love to get a middle of the order bat, preferably a LH one. Any ideas on who Salazar could net me?
Would also like to move Dan Otero for a LH reliever. Is there anyone realistic in a one for one deal, or am I better of trading Otero for something like a low C prospect and then dealing a low C prospect for a LH relief pitcher? (And if so, anyone in particular I could target?)
Thanks!Last edited by holden57; 05-27-2016, 03:42 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
What's his salary and team control situation? Maybe target Reddick? He's not likely to return at his age to the A's, I wouldn't think, and he gives you a nice LHB and amazing defense in RF.Looking to start a new franchise with the Indians. Trade logic is still pretty bad, I wouldn't base anything off of what they CPU will accept.D'Backs would do Peralta and O'Brien for Byrd, Eric Stamets (70 C), and a B starting pitcher prospect.

Neither one of those trades are great, the Diamondbacks aren't getting nearly enough and the Pirates deal is just kind of meh. I wouldn't trade Aiken right now, that would be giving him up before he's even thrown a pitch in your organization.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys hope everyone is having a good day, so in a Rays chise after 50 games we're sitting in 4th place. Not where I wanted to be but hey ...... so thinking a little ahead I would like to see if I can net some prospects to lay the ground work for us to compete in the next 2-3 years.
Logan Forsythe 2B
AB 196 HR 7 RBI 37 SB 7 AVG .277
Steve Pearce 3B
AB 204 HR 9 RBI 31 SB 0 AVG .255
Top 2 and Brandon Guyer/Desmond Jennings to the Royals for Raul Mondesi ?
Chris Archer SP
W-L 3-5 IP 57.1 SO 53 ERA 3.50 WHIP 1.28
Alex Cobb SP
No stats (injured till after all-star break)
Danny Farquhar RP
W-L 3-1 IP 20.0 SO 18 BB 10 ERA 3.05 WHIP 1.60
Would love to get a mix of youth with maybe 1-2 MLB ready players if everyone is traded.Last edited by Dirty_D_; 05-27-2016, 04:32 PM.NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
This one could interest me...but it is sort of unrealistic with the fresh extension. But still not a big deal. My only concern is at his age, if he'd retire after a season...that would be a bummer. Otherwise I'd probably make that move.
My next move would probably be to move Meadows then, ideally for a mid-rotation starter with a bit of upside. Would depend on what teams are out of it. Guys like Cashner, Trevor Bauer or Kendall Graveman. Would Meadows make sense for any of those guys?
I was thinking Jaso as a catcher for them. Figured he'd be a plug in starter for them to solidify their lineup. But ya Beltre would probably be more realistic... and Dozier's arm is too weak for 3B. And I really don't like his D up the middle so I'd probably pass on him. Just not sure what power hitting 3B makes sense. Really the only open spot i have on my starting roster. Beltre makes sense. Valbuena makes sense too. Honestly just not a fan of Freese, want an upgrade there.Didn't realize Beltre signed an extension, that's my fault.
I know Mitch Moreland isn't a world-beater, and having Prince Fielder on the roster, would Texas really want Jaso?
If you're insisting on Gallo:
Joey Gallo + Michael Matuella for Tyler Glasnow + Ke’Bryan Hayes
Both teams give and get a young SP+3BLast edited by grushcow; 05-27-2016, 05:03 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I hear you for sure, but I'm going to go ahead with the trades. I don't want to break apart the Indian's too much. My thinking on the Dbacks is that Byrd is serviceable and they are weak at SS and most teams could always use a pitching prospect.Trade logic is still pretty bad, I wouldn't base anything off of what they CPU will accept.

While valuable, Peralta is a platoon guy and O'Brein is a future DH on any AL team and really can't play the field.
Thanks for the input though!Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Thanks, good to know. Gonna run some myself, because that seems like the best bet for a deal. As long as I get 2 years out of him it's worth it. I'll probably do that deal preseason then. Treat it like an offseason move and give Beltre an extension myself. Then I can make a Meadows move at the deadline depending on how my pitching is faring.Last edited by grushcow; 05-27-2016, 05:40 PM.Comment

I'm going to most likely make a splash with Twins. Braun comes to mind. I haven't decided if I want a starter or a LF. Any thought on to what it would take to land Bruan or Sale?Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Sale isn't realistic at all. The Twins wouldn't want to get burned for what they would have to give up (Sano/Buxton, Berrios++) and you never see great players get traded in the same division.
