Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Espinoza. And I agree nobody should be untouchable I just don't want them traded since I see them being stars.Trust me, I feel the same way about some Cubs guys (Baez) and it's hard to even grasp trading them for anything less than great return.. So I get it.
I think Swihart + Johnson + Chavis is a much better suggestion if Johnson is healthy. Chavis as a third guy/lottery ticket type on the end is a nice addition.
Just curious, who are your three "untouchables?" Moncada, Benintendi and ? Lol I'm not trying to debate if they're untouchable or not (because I don't think anybody is to an extent), just wanted your opinion.
Then I agree fully about Johnson, so Kopech fits great instead in that deal.Come hang with me on YouTube! I stream/make videos on a variety of games from sports, to action, to adventure!

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Bautista + a couple of A prospects for Harper would've been better in my mind. Mind you I don't really know how the fantasy franchises work with farm systems. Do you just take the system or whatever team you are?
Machado is the best defensive 3rd baseman and could be one of if not the best defensive SS in the league if you decide to play him there. Offensively he's top 2 or 3 in the league at his position. Machado and Bautista might be more expensive to resign depending on if the game will have him command a $350mil+ deal like I think he will irl, but you would also have 2 top 5 players in their respective positions.
Take a look at my post in the last page about getting Pederson to the Astros if you can, it'd be much appreciatedComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I just feel that if Altuve was traded, not only would the city of Houston be turned upside down (so many Altuve fans), but I feel the team would lose that central player who keeps the team grounded.
If it was a 3-team deal that sent Puig away, I'd consider depending on the deal. Altuve being traded would open up 2B for Bregman, so that's a positive.
Out of curiosity, what kind of 3-team deal could you see happening? I might considering doing it in my blowoff franchise just to see Bregman at 2B for a season.Football Data Analyst @ Tracking Football

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
The Orioles are getting a top pitcher which they really need but what are the two top prospects and how soon are they major league ready. That is a huge key to the deal. I also think deGrom or Syndergaard would be more viable for such a great player like Machado if you want to make a real blockbuster.
But tell me the prospects. Positions/player type and ETA to the MLB.Now Playing on PS5:

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
You're talking about Altuve like he is Harper, Trout or Goldschmidt. Altuve is extremely good. But he is a 4-5 WAR player. He might hit 6 WAR in his career year, and you wouldn't trade him for an 18 year old phenom and an outfielder who has had as many 4+ WAR years as Altuve, and his sophomore season he had a higher WAR than Altuve has ever had in a season.I just feel that if Altuve was traded, not only would the city of Houston be turned upside down (so many Altuve fans), but I feel the team would lose that central player who keeps the team grounded.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
As prospects in the Mets system that are MLB ready is slim to non IMO, maybeThe Orioles are getting a top pitcher which they really need but what are the two top prospects and how soon are they major league ready. But tell me the prospects. Positions/player type and ETA to the MLB.
Matt Reynolds (middle infield 25 yr old low B that hits for average with a good glove )
Gavin Cecchini ( infield 22 yr old Mid B but hitting is questionable but is known for his defense )
Brandon Nimmo ( OF 23 yr old Mid B with upside but hasn't hit his stride but has average stick and glove with some upside but low upside in the power department )
Then there's a pile of prospects that are 3-4 years away IMO could be sooner like
Amed Rosario (SS 20 yr old High B)
Marcos Molina ( RHP 21 yr old Mid B)
Gabriel Ynoa (RHP 22 yr old Mid B )
Dominic Smith (1B 20 yr old low/mid B)
And not to mention I have a few names to throw in that have upside but are down trending
Juan Legares
Travis d'Arnaud
Wilmer Flores
Would giving up deGrom or Syndergaard help me send less to Baltimore or just make it that much more realistic ?Last edited by Dirty_D_; 05-09-2016, 02:29 PM.NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Thor or deGrom straight up for Machado would be a fair deal. Prospects are not strong enough to accompany Harvey in my opinion. Now Playing on PS5:

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Thanks man.
Right now it may be deGrom heading to Baltimore let's see what's up at the all star break.
If I make the deal would Asdrubal Cabrera be worth anything ( not to Baltimore but anyone else ) ? Manny Machado will be my SS so I wouldn't need him ?NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Hot taek but I don't think deGrom is quite enough, it would need to be Thor.
deGrom is an injury risk which hurts his trade value.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
And the guy who throws 98mph+ for 7 innings isn't?
You could say every pitcher is an injury risk, not really sure how/why you labeled Degrom as an injury riskComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Are the prospects still to weak to pair with deGrom ? ( I don't know about injury )
Or would a Matt Havery and ( Wheeler/Matz ) would do ?NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Well maybe because deGrom has had TJ and Thor has not? That seems like a decent reason. But an infielder with 2 seasons over 6 WAR is more valuable than a 27 year old who is about to turn 28 and has only had 1 season over 5 WAR. Thor is on an upward trajectory and we have probably already seen the best there is to see with deGrom, again this is just my take.
Also deGrom has seen his velocity drop, his SIERA and xFIP has raised and his k/9 has dropped 3 full points.Comment
