Love the polish this year. Improved RTTS is great. PBR is awesome where applied. Lighting is great. New game modes are cool, but I probably won't stick with them long term. Sounds of the Show = Awesome. My old man bought the game this year, and the dynamic difficulty is awesome for him.

Drawbacks: Some detail on faces are downscaled. Hair, etc, but this isn't a big deal. Commentary has taken a step forward, but it's still the weak point for me. Really disappointed SCEA doesn't leverage better broadcasters. I'd really like to see more player personality in RTTS, aka NBA 2K. For the same reason Bryce Harper is championing celebration in baseball: it's more fun.

My nitpicky comments: Bruce Bochy is about 5 years too young and too skinny. Paul Molitor looks like someone different altogether.

Looking forward to the next few weeks digging in. Thanks San Diego!
    HE'S GOT ONE FLAP DOWN!

That delay when checking runners on base (L2) is maddening!

The new animations in the game are awesome. Really adds to the immersion while playing. I'm one of the unlucky ones that sees some stuttering/frame rate issues. I play on a 4K tv. I even plugged in my old LED tv and experienced the same thing. Bummer. Certain parks are definitely worse than others though. I guess I can learn to live with it. Other than that I'm loving the game as always.

Blows my mind that there are no upgrades to the playoffs( no logos, nothing)

Equally blows my mind that Minute Maid Park still has the hump in center field when clearly that has been changed for this season.

I usually do not blast MLB series as I purchased a PS for this exact reason. However, I'm kind of sick and tired of buying the same game every single year which is just a 60 dollar roster update.

Why is Camden Yards still the same? the dang skyline looks inaccurate. I'm mostly peeved because I participated in the forums. Gave suggestions even emailed Briggs in regards to the stadium and not one single change.

And for Diamond Dynasty, There is no option to import logos and uniform? come on man that was hard as hell ot make last year.

With my rant over and my FINAL rant. I will say seeing the inner harbor fly though was nice.

The game is very good. Great improvement over last year. There 2 things that bother me though.

1st: Still hitting pitches with perfect (Green) timing and near the center of the PCI and just getting pop ups. I was told the PCI logic was improved but this still happens a lot.

2nd: Stubs are way too difficult to attain this year. Not sure if this is deliberate to milk more money out of people but the stubs reward for playing games is too small in my opinion.

Home Run Derby is very fun this year. Maybe it was the same last year, but this year it just seems the ball has more flight. I've hit to some notable places already, especially at Minute Maid Park (on the roof of the building right down the left field line and off the right tower in right field). I guess I've come to realize why the stadium isn't domed in HRD, because otherwise it would literally hit the ceiling hah!

My farthest home run so far is 532 feet in Coors Field, into the upper-ish seating deck in straightaway center field.

Maybe we don't have the new playoff logos?

The Hill in Minute Maid Park is not being removed this year in real life the game reflects that.

We give the stadium artists all the info sometimes they don't get to things.

                We never promised a uniform/logo export/import feature.

Not sure what level... whatever the game started on (I didn't change it - just chose in the beginning that I was experienced and not new to the game). Used meter pitching and pure analog/stride batting.

What's with the Rays traditional catching color defaulting to the light blue with no way to change it??

Well I am not going to rant and rave, but I'm kinda disappointed. Not in the game itself, but the year-to-year save feature. I was looking forward using my roster, my salary edits, my equipment edits. I have to redo all that stuff again if I want to go down this road. Plus the create players like Matt Wisler & RP McKirahan. Last names aren't in the name database.....

So I have a decision to make. Start over from scratch with a brand new franchise. Were those player's are in the game this year and Last name are being announced.

SDS probably want to look at scrapping this features, because veteran player's like myself who enjoys the game & its editing feature. Might stop purchasing the product and just be fine with this year copy for a year or three.

Ok now that I've settled into a setting and slider set that works for me I've got a few more quick impressions.

I know it seems a strange thing to point out but have you guys seen the cloud variety? Looks like my favourite weather, partly cloudy, got even sexier.

Took a while to finagle but I'm LOVING directional hitting now. Having a ton of fun in spring training learning to nuances of it.

I've mentioned the fielding before but OMG it's frackin awesome this year. Seen a ton of awesome animations, and the fielders have stopped doing that dead stop they sometimes do when you input a throw they weren't expecting.

Fantastic animations all around this year I only have one complaint: Check swings. Some are good but others are straight up warping. It's like I'm having a mini stroke.

Saw something so rare for me in the past playing the show today. A player game up to the plate and the statline showed he was 0 for 1 with 2 walks. A tear came to my eye. Hit/Strikeout/walk ratio is MUCH improved, especially for my play level. I've already made a pitcher throw 50 pitches in 2 innings of work! That's was a unicorn occurrence in 15 (it never happened).

Amazing, amazing game. Will be posting my sliders tomorrow for all of you who used to be zone center swingers like me and are having a hard time adapting to the new precision engine setup.

So because you don't like how it's implemented they should get rid of it despite others than do use it? How does that make sense?

@BKrich83, It makes sense to me and that is all that matters. As a consumer. They get rid things all the time depending on who's using it. I am hoping for the best solution. That's all.
