Thanks, please let me know. i am now trying a new franchise with John Kool's 1998 roster, but doubt it will happen again, as his is a 25 man roster file and not a full 90 man like the '87 file.

And the rosters the CPU does this to make no sense at all...10 hitters only and 13 pitchers on a team with 2 open spots?? Have tried everything, nothing will fix this. Anyone else noticing this on their '87 franchise carryover from last year's game?
Everything looks good on mine man. Nothing odd really at all. 4-5 bench spots, 11-12 pitchers. Everything looks good. I am in late May with this in Year 2.

OK thanks. Can you please let me know what your user control settings are in mode-specific options?

I think the issue may be a couple of things. 1. My franchise file i am importing in from last year's game is already on opening day in April of Year 2, so I cant sim through spring training as others have mentioned here. 2. When i start simming through the first week of the regular season, it starts telling me that Double-A team rosters are not right and i click auto-fix roster, as I don't want to alter all the AA rosters. Could that be what s then giving CPU control over ALL of my MLB rosters and CPU dropping it down to 1 man benches for hitters on the MLB teams? Again, i have everything set to manual control, even scouting and drafting.

Are those who are experiencing the issue with relievers being slotted into the rotation after injuries using 40 man rosters? If so, that's a gamebreaker for those who don't use 30 team control. I could understand the CPU not calling someone up if 25 man rosters are being used. If they don't call guys up when their 40 man is filled out, that's a huge issue.

It's with 40 man and it happens with default rosters as well.

I ran a test with changing nova to a sp and the Yankees kept sending him down although he was 73 overall and using a reliever 66 overall on active roster. I also see elite relievers being placed in long man role this year.

Last year the sp would have stayed on active.

I do not see a way to sort all MLB players. Can only sort by team. It would be nice to sort career stats by MLB.

That's interesting. I raised up relievers in my carryover to try to get them in the bullpen more and the CPU teams are sticking with lower rated SP in the bullpen.

Is it because of carryover vs new MLB16 franchise?

Could be the number of rp and starters on the roster.

I notice with the osfm the closers are getting 6-9 year deals in the offseason. I don't remember seeing that with default rosters.

I'm guessing because since there are very few "true" closer prospects then the cpu locks up closers long term. I'm going to test tonight.

Every Sim I do I get betances as a long reliever and gets 2-5 starts a year although his stamina is low and nova is relegated to AAA.

I didn't notice before, but noticed it post patch test. Many higher performing arbitration eligible players are earning less money in offseason than the previous year.

Two example are machado and harvey. Both make about 10 million a year. In the offseason the are awarded about 7 to 7.5 in arbitration. Players salaries should increase year to year in arbitration. http://www.sportingnews.com/mlb-news...-training-2016

If anyone has an unpatched version and could check to see if the logic is the same pre patch I would appreciate it.

This could be one reason teams end up with such a budget surplus.

                        Whoa.

I wonder if he'd be cheaper in FA once he gets that far. In my carryover, Machado signed for like $26M / yr or some such insanity. Almost as insane as Jurrickson Profar wanting $29 M / yr...and someone must have given it to him because he's not in the FA pool anymore (went unsigned last offseason and was in the pool all this season in MLB15 - so maybe someone ponied up for him).

Not sure if this is just for me or if this has been mention yet but I called up a pitcher from Aaa to make a spot start for me and after the game i sent him down and his starts are getting skipped.

                          For example:
                          Rotation is pitcher a,b,c,d,e
                          called up pitcher A
Pitcher B replaces pitcher A and starts the game in aaa
After the game send pitcher a back to aaa who will pitch before pitcher b in rotation
pitcher e scheduled to pitch with pitcher a after him
It skips pitcher a start and starts pitcher b.
Giving pitcher b 4 day rest.

Sorry if this was confusing but I hope you guys understand what imsaying.

Has anyone had an issue with meter pitching in Franchise where random pitchers will be unable to hit the green bar? I restarted my Jays franchise over when the new rosters came out so I could see the rise of Alford, Guerrero etc. 3rd game and I can't pitch with Samchez. Had to quit out of my file, call up Hutch, give him a spot start, next time around Sanchy was fine.

That's weird. Are you saying it keeps doing that, or was it only for that first rotation after sending him back down? I ask because maybe it is somehow related to fatigue management and will self correct if it's just the once.

Nope keeps doing it. I play about a month without realizing it was happening. I checked my aaa pitcher stats and I notice 2 of my Starting pitchers only had like 20ip and it was 1st of June... So I had 3 pitchers on 2 days rest! Maybe that's why my AAA team is doing really bad lol!
