Re: 2016 Franchise Issues/Solutions/Help
I believe it does not stem from imported rosters only because there was someone from this forum who did a stream until 2021, just to test things out, and budgets were inflatedComment

Stuck at work so I can't check this, did you notice if the CPU actually pitches the RP when their turn in the rotation comes up or is it just a placeholder?Comment

Re: 2016 Franchise Issues/Solutions/Help
Yeah, I'm just thinking it exacerbates the situation since as soon as a few of those larger salaries fall off there's more available funds and new FA's are signing with SCEA's payscale, not the escalated one.Comment

Re: 2016 Franchise Issues/Solutions/Help
I tested the budgets with a fresh 30 team franchise and with a carryover osfm.
Budgets go up and salaries don't go up enough to match. 15% increases are substantial. Last year was worst. Last year there were 30% increases.
I think the record needs to play a part more. I had a team lose 111 games get a 10% increase.

Re: 2016 Franchise Issues/Solutions/Help
Have you, tb, done any sims looking at the hitting vis a vis the pitching progressions? I'm seeing fewer and fewer .300 hitters the further I go. Year 1 has 15 or so, year 2 11, year 3 10, etc. Do you think this can be remedied with a slider or is it another instance of progression winning?
Btw, I simmed a couple years out with my carryover. 4 .300 hitters next year, 1 in the NL.Comment

Re: 2016 Franchise Issues/Solutions/Help
Someone asked about OSFM and how budgets were in carryover saves. Here's a stream of year 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsH_zApIR7E
Here's year 4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF-ENAjMhIg
Budgets continue to rocket up. Teams shuffle some big deals, but as those deals fall off the budgets sky rocket. Every team still gets increase although less than default rosters.
I'm personally going to edit only a 5 or so horrible contracts and then not give them the real ones just what they would "scale" to on the game.Comment

Re: 2016 Franchise Issues/Solutions/Help
I'm seeing about 8 years in the future the budgets changes work. Some teams stay unchanged, some see 1-3% decreases while others see 3% increases. There is a couple outliers that get 8-9%.
I would like to see that start right from year one. I wouldn't mind if most teams saw an increase in the beginning as long as they are not double digit increase.
I would like to see
15 teams gain 2-7%
5 teams unchanged
5 teams 8-14%
5 teams drop 1-3%Comment
