The drum at Progressive Field is finally in a video game

Just finished an hour of my first gameplay, I can't believe they finally added the drum that John Adams plays between pitches at every Indians home game since the '80's. You can hear the drum anywhere you sit in the stadium and can easily hear it on tv and on the radio, so it makes sense to put it in the game. Most non-Indian fans probably don't care, but for me and other loyal Cleveland fans this is a nice touch to really add to the realism.

My only complaint is that in the game it seems like it only plays the drum when you are pitching (as the Indians) and not never when you are batting. In real life he primarily plays it while the Indians bat, mainly when they get runners in scoring record position. They only time he plays it when they are pitching is after they get out of a jam or in the top of the ninth inning when they are winning. Hopefully next year they correct this but in the mean time I'm just happy it's in the game. I also appreciate the Mario coin sound effect it plays when the Indians score a run (another sound they play in real life).

    My other brief observations:

    1. When playing the Royals/Giants game during installation a few cool things happened. I dove for a ball on the outfield but dove to far and the ball bounced off my back for a hit. I nearly hit a homer later, the ball bounced off the top of the wall and came back on the field.
And the game had an awesome ending: I was up 2-1 but the CPU had 1st and 3rd with one out. I intentionally walked the next hitter to set up a force at any base. The next batter hit a medium deep fly down the left field line in foul territory, I was gonna catch it but the runner would easily tagged and scored so I let it drop foul. The computer hit a hard liner to my Left fielder on the next pitch, I caught it but didn't have much time to get set but threw home as hard as I could. I thought the runner would easily score but the throw was perfect and threw out the tying run at the plate to end the game.

    2. Gameplay animations are smoother than last year, pitching feels different too, hard to explain but just feels like they throw harder or something.

    3. I love the fish eye can

    4. Stadiums look great, last year's renovations at Progressive Field look good but this year's updates (new scoreboard and a new lounge area near home plate) aren't in the game. They announced these renovations last fall so I'm not sure why they weren't reflected in this year's game but the same thing happened with last year's renovations.

Didn't notice this, but that's awesome! I played with the Indians today, do you hearthe drum being played in the game? I agree, the Mario coin sound when a run scores is a nice touch they added.

The tv screens in the dugouts are a nice touch as well for the Indians. Bummed they don't have the new scoreboard on the game however. Really not sure how it didn't make it in the game either.

I always want to play with them in a franchise but never do, mainly because I don't like their ballpark lol. The high outfield walls bother me, along with them being that ugly dark green color that just doesn't match any team color at all lol. I swear I am robbed of at least 1-2 homeruns because of that wall.
