How Many Ppl Used the Catcher Zoom Cams for Hitting?
Catcher 3 was my go to. Curious how many others used this. I've been informed by the powers that be it was only 1%.Tags: None -

I use Wide.
They changed it this year but its for the better. I can recognize lower pitches a lot easier.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I tried fisheye for a game in Spring Training but like you I couldn't get the timing down.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I've actually starting using Fisheye and I stuck with it as I feel it's improved my hitting a lot where I can see the ball more. In the past if I was zoomed in I couldn't recognize balls too well now with a wider vision I can see exactly where the ball is going as long as it's not a nasty breaking pitch.Comment

Agreed...probably my imagination, but I feel like i see the pitch a bit longer. I used to use one of the zooms, then I got into a rut and went back to whatever the default was in '15 and started having success, felt like could identify breaking balls and up/down/in/out of zone better. Thought Fisheye looked weired at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly and think its what I'm going to stick with.
You brought up something for me too stuck out with Fisheye as I think people should really use this cam and get used to it because I've noticed that I see the ball a lot longer now it feels like its in slower motion now where my timing is perfect on contact now but I do get more early swings because of it too because I'm so ancy to swing at times especially if I recognize it being a fast ball that's right in the strike zone.Comment

Yeah same here I started out with zoom cams in previous editions but I thought when I first saw Fisheye I was like I'm totally not using this until I went 3 for 4 in a ballgame I was like I'm definitely sticking with this. LOL!

Biggest problem I've had is with fastballs, particularly high in the zone. They seem like they are moving slow, but then sort of explode through it and get on you quickly. Not all that different from the real thing, but seems to stick out more with this view that others.Comment

The only non-improvement I have in my hitting using this cam is anything low those seem to be the fastest pitches I see especially anything low and in like sliders and curveballs.
The change-up takes like 5 seconds literally to come down the zone. LOL! I hate seeing changes up in the strike zone they take forever and I'm ready to swing. Good thing is not too many pitchers I've faced so far have thrown change-ups.Comment

Try Fisheye bro and just play a lot of games with it because you will notice the ball moves a lot slower and it's easier to see balls and your timing is better as long as you're not an ancy hitter who doesn't have patience.Comment

I'll try it tonite. Found it too far away but I'll give it another go. I may just use Mlb 15 and zoom it in a bit...Comment
