    Zone/Analog/Stride Hitting

Love it but how do you use swing type (contact/power)?

I've heard you have to press the swing type button (X,Square, circle) before the pitch. Then your analog swing will be that type

You use the buttons to determine swing type, O=contact, X=normal, Square=power

        This is correct.

Before the pitch is thrown, press Square for Power Swing, or Circle for Contact.

Default Swing is X if you want to go back after selecting Power or Contact.

You will feel the controller rumble after each button press.

Gosh man I believe you but that doesn't seem to work for me. I get no rumble.

I also notice when changing from stride to flick, I can finally just do contact swings (push forward on R) and then if I do a full stride it seems to do a power swing because I can tell the little yellow hit thing gets way smaller in the post pitch review (pci?).

Honestly I hit just as many homeruns when I don't hit the buttons.

What's confusing about this, to me, is that in the control screen they indicate you need to pull back for a power swing, which obviously you cannot do if you're using the analog with stride.

But I agree, the controller rumbles when you select your swing type pre-pitch. Does it carry over pitch to pitch or do you need to select your option each time?

X or Regular Swing is always default, if you want to Power or Contact Swing, you need to select it for each pitch.

I think the Showtime thing is kind of a gimmick and arcadey, but I wanted to try it and see how it works. However, I can't figure out what to do when batting using the "Stride" hitting. I hold down R2 to slow it down, do my normal stride (longer though to match the pitch speed) and my guy never ends up swinging at the ball. I also tried using buttons instead and he still didn't swing.

No idea how to swing during "Showtime" mode while using Stride hitting.
