Is it even possible to earn stubs through RTTS? Doesn't appear so. I hate how they overlap this stuff. Basically for anyone like me who wants to play RTTS and not online stuff you're forced to buy stubs if you want different cleats and other gear. It's silly. And half the cleats are outrageously priced on the market. Buying packs is pointless because 95% of the cards I get I can't use for RTTS. I don't care about the stat boost in RTTS I just want the equipment for the looks.

Re: Obtaining Stubs Too Difficult?
Truth be told, I find myself more and more interested in just playing random games between two teams I pick out of my a....
(inserts disk) Okay, let's just play a game between... San Diego and Cincinnati!
(I just vary the time of day, and weather to keep the variety)

Same here. This usually makes up the majority of my gameplay in the first week or so while I'm calibrating Dynamic difficulty, seeing if any sliders need adjusting, etc. Gives me a good idea how the gameplay across the league will look, rather than just my one team.Comment

Oh I know that, but I feel like even after completing tons of conquest games I still haven't even reached 1,000 Stubbs. I also stated that playing a regular game and got solid xp but not many Stubbs. Guess I'll just have to try and complete some teams to get that 5% increase“Baseball is a game, yes. It is also a business. But what is most truly is is disguised combat. Re: Obtaining Stubs Too Difficult?
I have made close to 20,000 Stubs just from selling on the market.

Re: Obtaining Stubs Too Difficult?
Anyone who buys packs, even with Stubs, is cheating themselves. It's much less expensive over the long haul to just but the cards you need in the market (just put in a bid, don't buy now).
You pay 2500 Stubs for a few duds that you could get in the market for 1-25 each.Comment

Re: Obtaining Stubs Too Difficult?
I think the OP may be right. I haven't played a tonne yet. I played a full DD game last night. Only got about 140 stubs. Not sure if your performance and level you're playing at matter. Was my 1st DD game but I had 12 hits and 3 HRs. 140 stubs seems pretty low...Comment

Re: Obtaining Stubs Too Difficult?
Any suggestions for a RTTS player? That's all I really play. I'd like some of the more expensive items (the Trout cleats for example), but I really don't see how I can get them without spending loads of real money or spending hours and hours building a diamond dynasty that I have no interest in. Just seems silly. If you're going to overlap the two things then make it possible to earn Stubs in RTTS.
Do that enough and you'll have enough Stubs to buy better players for, say, 500 and sell them for 1500 and so on.
I only played about 250 games last year but I owned every card in the game just by playing the market. I certainly didn't earn enough Stubs just by playing to buy all those players who were 20,000 to 50,000 Stubs.
Just find players who have a big spread between their Buy and Sell prices and buy as many as you can.Comment

Re: Obtaining Stubs Too Difficult?
I would suggest that you try to work the market. It's fairly easy to buy players for cheap by putting in a bid for 1 more than the highest current bid and then selling that card for 1 less than the current low offer. You can routinely buy players for 5 to 25 Stubs and sell them for 75 to 100 or more.

I actually got those cleats in a pack and I immediately sold them for 60,000 stubs. I then used about 27,000 stubs purchasing training points for my newly created player. I was able bump my guy's attributes to the point that he had an overall rating of 90 right off the bat. First round draft pick!
But if you want them because you think they're sweet looking, fair enough. But good luck...they're expensive as hell.Comment

Re: Obtaining Stubs Too Difficult?
Lol I'm lost when it comes to this stuff. It's one of the reasons I've never really dug deep into diamond dynasty mode. I still don't quite understand what you mean by finding players who have a big spread between their buy and sell prices? Can I have an example? Thanks

If you take the second option, you'll want to make the price you are willing to pay higher than anyone else's bid. Then, as long as you are the high bidder, anyone who owns that card can come along and sell their card to you immediately for the price you are willing to pay.
As far as the spread is concerned, I'll give you an example.
You check the market price on Player X. Currently, the Buy price is 100 and the Sell price is 5. You bid 6 for the card, making you the highest bidder.
You check back later and find that someone sold you the card for 6 and that the current market prices are now 85 and 10. You offer to sell the card for 84 which means that you are now offering the best Buy Now price.
Again, you check back later and someone has bought the card (that you paid 6 for) from you for 84 Stubs. You just made a nice profit.
Of course, when you check back you may find that someone else has made better offers than you and you haven't bought/sold the card yet. At that point, you can cancel your offer and enter a new one to put yourself back in the best position.
In other words, when you offered to buy the card at 6 you might check back and find that you haven't got the card and now their are bids of 7, 8, 10 and 15. You can cancel your bid and move on to a different card or simply cancel it and offer 16 to become the highest bidder again.
Do this enough (you can have several, like 25, offers to buy or sell going on at any given time) and you will easily turn your pittance into lots of Stubs to get the items you really want.
Hope that helps!Comment
