    Ever tried going 173-0??

My 13 year old Nephew who has a slight case of Asperger, so obessed with numbers decided to see what would happen if you make your teams player ratings all 99, and every other teams player ratings 0, simmed a season and went 162-0 then went 11-0 in the post season giving the record of 173-0

anyone attempted or gone close to undefeated?

No I haven't, but I can't imagine how long and tedious that would be to edit that many ratings. But hey as long as he's having fun. Right?

Another thing you could do is put all the legends on one team and see how that goes
    Bucs, Lighting, Rays,

I tried it once on MVP 05 way back when I was a kid I don't remember much but I played all the games and managed to get to 33-0 with the Orioles then I gave up no way would I play all 162 games lol.

I also tried it in MVP Baseball 2005. Got to 75-0 or something and got bored. That's a lot of baseball to play. Simming just seems pointless and a lot less fun to me.

I tried with Triple Play 2000. I traded for my favorite players and started the season. I burned out around the 60 game mark. Just to long and tedious. Of course that was when I had time to play video games all day. Being an adult is overrated.

In my RTTS, I hit free agency and bolted from the Atlanta Braves (that had sucked for six straight years, no winning seasons). I simmed the offseason and saw that the reigning world series champs (the Dodgers who won 115 games) had not lost anyone, so I tried out for them in spring training and signed. I have played every game so far and we are 111-7. Thats as close as I can say I have ever gotten.

I used to try when I was a kid with every baseball game High Heat, Triple Play, or MVP. I think the closet I ever got was somewhere 60 and 70 wins before losing

All the time when I was younger with triple play baseball lol.

I remember using the home run cheat and hitting a home run every at bat.

                I had a damn blast

                  When I was 12 .. Now I'm pure sim .. It'd annoy me being undefeated . Love a good challenge .

I simmed it in MLB 16!

As I was creating my generic'd out roster, I made the experiment and I put all the Legends on one team VS 29 generic teams.

They lost one game, in preseason, but went undefeated during the season and the playoffs.

They also sent 11 players to the all-star game.

I am trying to go 173-0 in MLB 16!

Doubt I get there, but that is the goal.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

                        Goals for MLB 16

                        1) Have fun and stay interested in the game and hope I can play all 162 games plus any playoff games I may make.

                        2) Play above .500

                        3) Not be eliminated from playoff contention until late in the season.

                        4) Secure a wildcard playoff spot.

                        5) Finish 1st in my division.

                        6) Secure home field advantage in the playoffs.

                        7) Win the Division Series.

                        8) Win the League Championship Series.

                        9) Win the World Series.

                        10) Go 173-0 ... well in all honesty I never thought about this and quite frankly I am not so sure I could get past goal #1 if this was remotely in the picture. I guess if you are a kid, the idea of winning every game is appealing. But as an adult it not only never occurred to me, but I am not interested in the idea. It's would be so much more satisfying going through a season where you are in a close hard fought battle with as many teams as possible.

On the original World Series Baseball for the Genesis, I was 81-18 with the Braves, despite having a ton of house rules to make it harder. Crazy thing is, that wasn't the best record in the league. The Cubs were 88-12.

I got too bored to finish it out and play them in the playoffs.

Wow!!!, I forgot all about Triple Play....I remember Manny Ramirez and Randy Johnson being on the cover in different years....Those were fun!!

I think Luis Gonzalez was on the cover one year.....

As for the 173-0, it would be cool if you sim AND go 173-0.
