Ever tried going 173-0??
My 13 year old Nephew who has a slight case of Asperger, so obessed with numbers decided to see what would happen if you make your teams player ratings all 99, and every other teams player ratings 0, simmed a season and went 162-0 then went 11-0 in the post season giving the record of 173-0

Re: Ever tried going 173-0??
No I haven't, but I can't imagine how long and tedious that would be to edit that many ratings. But hey as long as he's having fun. Right?
Another thing you could do is put all the legends on one team and see how that goesBucs, Lighting, Rays, -

I tried with Triple Play 2000. I traded for my favorite players and started the season. I burned out around the 60 game mark. Just to long and tedious. Of course that was when I had time to play video games all day. Being an adult is overrated.Comment

Re: Ever tried going 173-0??
In my RTTS, I hit free agency and bolted from the Atlanta Braves (that had sucked for six straight years, no winning seasons). I simmed the offseason and saw that the reigning world series champs (the Dodgers who won 115 games) had not lost anyone, so I tried out for them in spring training and signed. I have played every game so far and we are 111-7. Thats as close as I can say I have ever gotten.University of Louisville '18

I simmed it in MLB 16!
As I was creating my generic'd out roster, I made the experiment and I put all the Legends on one team VS 29 generic teams.
They lost one game, in preseason, but went undefeated during the season and the playoffs.
They also sent 11 players to the all-star game.Comment

I am trying to go 173-0 in MLB 16!
Doubt I get there, but that is the goal.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Ever tried going 173-0??
Goals for MLB 16
1) Have fun and stay interested in the game and hope I can play all 162 games plus any playoff games I may make.
2) Play above .500
3) Not be eliminated from playoff contention until late in the season.
4) Secure a wildcard playoff spot.
5) Finish 1st in my division.
6) Secure home field advantage in the playoffs.
7) Win the Division Series.
8) Win the League Championship Series.
9) Win the World Series.
10) Go 173-0 ... well in all honesty I never thought about this and quite frankly I am not so sure I could get past goal #1 if this was remotely in the picture. I guess if you are a kid, the idea of winning every game is appealing. But as an adult it not only never occurred to me, but I am not interested in the idea. It's would be so much more satisfying going through a season where you are in a close hard fought battle with as many teams as possible.Comment

Re: Ever tried going 173-0??
On the original World Series Baseball for the Genesis, I was 81-18 with the Braves, despite having a ton of house rules to make it harder. Crazy thing is, that wasn't the best record in the league. The Cubs were 88-12.
I got too bored to finish it out and play them in the playoffs.Comment
