Check swing glitch

Anybody else experiencing a glitch where you check swing but the graphics glitch and the batter disappears for a moment before the called ball is awarded as a strike? Presumably because the AI recognises it as a full swing.

Just wondering if it was a one off before I log it as a glitch?

Yeah I've seen it happen. The batter doesn't necessarily dissappear. The check swing animation is cut off halfway through

Yeah that's a better way of describing it. It seems that way as his body goes from swinging and reaching toward the plate to standing up in the batters box is an instant.

Wouldn't be that much of an issue if the game didn't rob me of a strike.

I think it's just an animation glitch, though. It only occurs for me when I definitely don't check my swing in time.

I'm almost certain I checked in time, in fact I barely touched the stick. Will have to wait for it to happen again then record the replay I guess.

Yeah, I've seen it called both ways. It glitches out and I got a strike, and it also glitches out on some that get called for balls.

It's an eyesore, but EYE don't think it's affecting your success/failure.

I've seen a ton of weird things with the check swing. The fact is ALWAYS a strike is maddening. Last year I checked swing a lot, there year they are all strikes and little animation glitches.

check swings are not always a strike.

I check swung twice in the same at bat and both were called no swings.

I have also had check swings that were not a strike. You can pretty much tell right away if you've gone too far with your swing.

Yeah I've noticed this animation glitch a ton. Only seems to be on the "clearly didn't check in time" swings.

Check swinging is ridiculously hard on default sliders and button swinging this year but my new slider set is making it much fairer (IMO).

In reality though check swinging is hard, more often than not it's called a strike.

This. In fact, I have not been rung up by a base ump on an appeal yet in 16.

I've also seen the glitchy disappearing thing but only when I'm certain I've gone around.
