I am horrible at hitting. It is like I am blindfolded swinging at the ball. Can never read breaking pitches. What camera would anyone suggest to see the pitches better? Any help is appreciated.

Re: Which camera do you like?
Suggest you try some of the offset cameras. They let you see breaking pitches a little more side on which helps to pick up the break.Comment

Re: Which camera do you like?
I was using fish eyes the first few games, love the view but found myself chasing balls quite often so I changed to Retro... (similar to wide) a lot better at reading the pitches.
Outfield view for pitching. I used to use broadcast but I like it when it stays on one view no matter what stadium I'm at. Especially at Target Field.. absolutely hate that view lol.

Re: Which camera do you like?
For hitting, I use a custom camera based off the Zoom preset. I basically move it back until I can see the front half of the plate, and lower it a bit to make low pitches easier to read. This is almost exactly the way I had it in 15. I've always had a problem reading low pitches, and this batting camera let me average 2 walks per game last year.Comment

Re: Which camera do you like?
For batting I would often stick to whatever the game's default was, but I didn't like fisheye and I switched to the Show 15. However, I have always had trouble reading the heights of pitches and kept meaning to look for something that was a little lower, and Retro fit that bill. It's a little closer to the ground and yet it still feels familiar, and it's helping a little.
For pitching, I would usually use the SF Broadcast view zoomed in a little bit, but this year I noticed that the Outfield camera is basically the same thing, so I use that. When the Giants come to town, it's Bye Bye Baby...Comment

Re: Which camera do you like?
Call it "fisheye zoom" or "catcher fisheye"; I basically zoomed in to the point where fisheye looks like the camera is the catcher's eyes (the bottom of the screen starts about midway up the batter's inside shin, for reference). Combined with the dynamic offensive cam, really gives hitting that "new game" feel. Love it.Comment

Re: Which camera do you like?
I am using wide camera view for both hitting and pitching. I find that it is the closest to prior years of MLB the show's old catcher classic cam.Comment
