Bases Loaded, 2 Outs, When this happens..............

I am throwing home with the Left Fielder, but I pressed the Cutoff prompt just after throwing. But instead of cutting it off, my firstbaseman just watches it go by. And then my Catcher watches it go by him, and then my pitcher watches it go by him too!
Then the game decides to give me control of my firstbaseman, while 3 runs come in.
What you can't see is in actual gameplay the camera is just zoomed into the wall where the ball is the whole time, while all this is happening.
