Re: A couple of things I wish they had not changed...

I posted this in another thread, but it'll work here, the ability to see a player's number is gone. It used to be, when you hit triangle, next to the name it would show the number. But not currently.

and for those that say "just go to edit player"

If you go into edit player, it only shows the players wanted number. So if everyone on your team wants the number 5. Then you have no idea what number everyone is wearing. That is until you start up a game. and see everyone has a random number.

I feel this should be a easy patch.

I would also agree with how those little things that the OP mentioned not needed to be changed necessarily, and I feel whenever the UI changes from one year to next, I tend to think that's always not for the better (though there also are often good reasons to change it when new features are added). For those who play the game often, your hands develop muscle memory to do a lot of tasks, and it feels that you have to re-learn things for a lot of trivial, unnecessary changes.

However, I'd also understand the developer's desire/need to change UI year-to-year, as one of the most despised criticisms that a yearly title can get seems to be "the game is a roster update"; refreshing the visuals helps to avoid such a criticism. I don't know that's a good thing, but I'd think it's one of the concerns that likely lead to frequent UI updates...

Specifically, I do actually feel the radial/circular rating presentation is cool and refreshing. Although they aren't necessarily clear, as someone who tries not to study in detail the attributes while actually playing a game, getting the overview quickly in pie chart would actually be okay with me. As far as screen estate is concerned, it seems you can contain a lot more info within a circle than numbers plus bar charts, which need to be more spread out.

However, I wish those circles/charts grow to their full values much quicker... it's quite slow right now and that makes the overall UI sluggish, and given that you get a wrong reading unless you wait for them to grow fully, overall experience slows down even more.

I have SLOWLY had a change of mind with the pie charts - once you tell your self they are not for deep study but a quick overview then I'm OK as an "extra".

I HOPE they fix the Season STAT to match the IN Game Stats. Seems they have two different functions for those two when they could combine into the GOOD one.
