    Too Many Outfield Errors

Ok it seems everytime I play a game, one of outfielders misses a ball or if he is going for a ball and the ball goes over his head, he gets called for an error. Also on a linedrive that I'm going for the outfielder will make an awkward motion and the ball will drop in front of him. This never happpened on the ps3 but since I've switched to PS4 I've had an outfield error in just about every game. I even adjusted the error sliders to 0 and I still have this problem. Is there anyway to fix this or just turn errors off?

Did you move the slider to the left or right?

Happens to me too, it's annoying. I even had CarGo try to catch a routine fly ball and it missed his glove and hit him in the head. Then he had to come out of the game from injury lol

I thought it was worse last year.

I was playing a game last night where there was a routine line drive right at Cespedes and he dropped the ball...wait that was real life lol

But seriously...are you using auto fielding or manual fielding??

I had that same dream. Then he picked up the ball and threw a laser-guided missile to catch a guy trying to nab an extra base.

oh wait...that was real life, too

I have had issues for years now with fielding in the outfield. I somehow regularly miss-play balls. Get hit in the face, or like stumble for it last second.

Funny, I have yet (25 games) to see an error on an outfielder. I was getting concerned that it wouldn't happen. Looks as though I can put that concern to rest.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I have been playing random exhibition games and there have been quite a few "can of corn" drops. Have not adjusted anything slider wise yet.

                      Re: Too Many Outfield Errors

No errors on OFers yet in my carryover franchise (I have OF error on 7).

The most common miscue I've seen from OFers is where they try to field a ball that's dropped in front of them and they bobble it/don't pick it up clean. They always recover quickly from it, but it's starting to annoy me (as is the "He botches it!" commentary that's a bit over the top for a slight thing like that) so I might lower OF Error to 6.

I did see a dropped transfer after making a diving catch to try to stop a runner tagging up to go to third. No error charged.

I haven't seen any routine drops, but one guy did get hurt trying to make a diving catch and the ball hit him on the head after it bounced just in front of him.

Edit: One error. Harper misplayed a ball moving to his left and looked to be there in time but misjudged it and it got past him. It wasn't a can of corn but he did look like he'd get there in time and had the glove up. Just whiffed.

I see more errors on infielders actually. One guy gave up 3 in a game, a terrible throw and TWICE it went under his glove on routine grounders. I pulled him for the guy who was supposed to get the day off lol.

                        Re: Too Many Outfield Errors

I have had a few errors on catches that in past versions would have been routine fly outs. I felt like once I got in the area of the catch, the catch animation would take over as it has in past games and I would get the easy out.
So far, I don't feel like the game has more outfield errors. I feel these catch errors have been specifically on me due to the change of having to be more in position to make the catch. IMO, that is a welcome and fresh change from what we have been used to from past versions.

Yeah feathering is more important this year than it ever has been. Makes it slightly harder but you'll get less errors if you do it right.

At least it doesn't ever do what it did last year were you were running to the marker and then stop pushing the joystick but your outfielder would keep going way too far and make an obvious error. Used to hate that.

8 games 4 errors total for both teams - not seeing it - I actually upped the errors on my sliders one notch.

I've had 2 that I can remember. One was me not getting in best location. .the other was on a running catch.
I've also had some great d plays.
So. .so far no real issues for me. This is at default slider. .
