    New to rtts and curious?

So, I played 14 a lil, but mostly in franchise mode. This year, I picked up The Show for myself and jumped straight into RTTS and made a starting pitcher. I picked the 4-seam, 12-6 curve and sinker. A few games in - on Double A - I have been dominant, but want to add a 4th pitch. My Google skills seem weak as I can find very little around it.

Most suggestions I have seen say a changeup should be in my pitcher's arsenal... but I'd like to hear suggestions from you guys before picking up number 4.

    Atm, my player is a power pitcher... 96-98 4seam, 90-91 sinker, 76-79 12-6 curve. I'd like a good breaking / off-speed pitch, but I'm doubting the changeup.

    What would you suggest?

    Thanks for any help.

Change ups are devastating, especially from a power pitcher. Can't go wrong with that choice.

I agree. Offspeed stuff is essential. You already have a breaking pitch. So I would add a straight change or a circle change, maybe even a palm ball.

If you ever decide to add a 5th, try a slider.

I'd say circle change. Your 12-6 will have a slight lateral movement; the circle change will have a slight lateral movement in the opposite direction. Change ups are essential, in my opinion.

Hmm, alright. A changeup or circle changeup it is then. :-)

So, on an update... I picked up the Circle Change & Slider once I had around 10k training points saved up.

I upp'ed the speed to both to max, pushed control/break high as possible as well...

CC is really good as said... Slider is dominant when thrown low (especially when used with the sinker), but it gets lit up when thrown high. lol

I've only given up a handful of HR's over 20+ games and all but 1 has came when I dared to throw the slider high. But, a 90-91mph slider is wicked when kept at the knees.
