Re: Time to waive the white flag?

I haven't played this years game, but I remember last year I couldn't hit at all when the game came out, and homeruns, forget it I couldn't hit any. I just stuck with it and it just got better with time. 10 games is a pretty small sample size to think you can't hit in the game. Stick with it, it will come around.

I don't even throw. Auto defence for me. Just x to pitch and x to hit.

There is definitely something not quite right with directional/timed hitting this year.

Burgess - I bet I'm an older dog than you. I'm having the same problems. Fortunately, I'm a pretty good pitcher. I'm having a lot of low scoring, close games. I'm using directional hitting with Armor's sliders. I played several games today and decided to move up the Human Contact and Human Timing one click. I'll see if that helps. Like you and others in this thread, it seems I get a lot of "good" contact swings that don't turn out well.

I say keep on plugging and it will get better.

I'm not sure I like the sound of that as that is the only type of hitting I have used. Do others feel the same way? Can they fix it with a patch.

it is a bit too hard this year, I recall people with the game early saying its easier this year, no way.
however moving down a hitting level sort of evens it out but I find myself between veteran and all star now, may just need to go the Dynamic route

                      That's so strange.

I feel like it's easier than ever to get out ahead of the ball-- in a good way.

I can rip balls foul more than ever before. However, it's hard to keep the ball fair. My

When batting, I feel more like a Major League hitter, which is great.

That's part of my problem. Last year I was late most of the time. This year I am able to pull the ball more and my timing is better. But I'm not making solid contact. Very weak groundball singles. Hardly ever a hard hit flyball. 1 double off the wall and 2 homers in 10 games

Yes, that's an option. I guess I'm reluctant to do that as I've followed Armours sliders religiously for the past several years and have always had fantastic results. Increasing a slider to my advantage will make me feel like I'm cheating. But it may come to that.

Let me ask this, what is your team's BABIP? It should be around .300...if it is super low, then solid hits might very well be the culprit.
