Does player speed impact IBB? (RttS)

Wondering if anyone had noticed that player speed would affect whether a player would be intentionally walked more often. I mainly play characters with speed ratings of 80+ and can't recall ever being intentionally walked. Are cpu teams less inclined to put you on if you're capable of stealing a base? Is it based on a specific stat? Or in game/season performance?

I get intentionally walked a lot in certain potential high leverage situations and my player speed is maxed. But I also have high contact and power so when it's 2nd and 3rd and a close game I'm usually walked. I think it based on multiple things and situations.

It's more about your contact and power than speed.

Correct. I get IBB a ton with 99 Speed since I have 95 Contact and 92 Power. Pretty much if there's a man or 2nd/3rd in the late innings, I am almost always going to be intentionally walked. I've been intentionally walked 6 times so far and it's only August of my rookie year (called up on June 16).
