Re: PS4 Remote Play to Mac/PC
Wait, what?? Remote play? So when my kids are camped in front of the TV watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Sesame Street, I can just turn on my PS4 and use my PC to at least edit rosters, and such? That is cool, even if the lag doesn't allow actual playing of the game. I'll have to try that tonight.
Seems like something nice could be cooking up in store for 2017. How awesome it could be if they were able to implement an import feature on attributes and other elements...download all the stats on a CSV file, update what I want, then upload it to see the new results.
I'm sure it would have to be cleared with Sony if we're downloading attributes and such but...I could manually do it anyways so maybe it's not as big of a deal as I think it could be.
Either way...oh, the possibilities!!Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: PS4 Remote Play to Mac/PC
It's not unplayable, which I found surprising but it's certainly not perfect. At the very least you can MoM it up. I even found pitching (with pulse) to be fine it was just hitting, and even then I can still do it, it's just not as good. This was over a wired connection though results will vary.
I played a few other games as well. Only the games that require precise control are an issue, and even then not that much. Meanwhile Flower, the most chillax game in the world, ran wonderfully. Just the occasional screen hitch detracts from the experience, but they are small enough and few enough that some people won't even notice.Comment

Editing roster on a PC versus a PS4?

Re: PS4 Remote Play to Mac/PC
I tried it before I went to sleep. Wasn't that great at all. I could pitch fairly well. But hitting I had to swing extremely early and hopped I guessed right. That's with 1000Mbps up and down.Comment

Re: PS4 Remote Play to Mac/PC
No, it's on XDA. Its a ported app. Here's a link to the page. Take note though, don't download the current version available (v3.4) because it won't work today since PS4 released an update. Waiting on Twisted to release an updated version of the Android Remote Play app. So wait until he releases like version 3.5. It worked just fine yesterday before the update to the PS4, only after the update today it does not work.

Re: PS4 Remote Play to Mac/PC
Did not notice this made it into the new update.
I work from home full time, and have 4 monitors running between my work PC, home PC, and home server.
I usually stream MLB.tv on one monitor...but that is obviously when games are on. When they aren't I might have to use this remote play and get some gaming without having to leave my work space....this might the most awesome thing ever...Comment

Re: PS4 Remote Play to Mac/PC
The Show just isn't a showcase with the inherent latency that comes with remote play. You need precision accuracy to play the game well for most, if not all, configurations of control. It works fine for some games, just not this game in particular.

When you're playing at home use "direct connect" to play remote play, not the internet. Direct Connect offers the best remote play experience with less input lag.Comment

This is too awesome... If there ever was a need for poop socks/buckets and water bottles...... lol
I used it yesterday and it is very serviceable. I have the house on GB switches throughout and the PS 4 hardwired. So the odd hitch and micro freeze was minimal but there. Hitting was a bit more difficult due to this, but way better than remote play on the Vita____________________________________________

Re: PS4 Remote Play to Mac/PC
I tried it last night, definitely too laggy for batting. I could see my self using a RttS or Player lock pitcher with classic or Analog pitching, though. I think that would work fine on Remote Play. I think my issue is my PC. My PS4 is hard wired to my router, but my PC is using a USB wireless adapter for its internet connection.Comment
