    Depth chart feature:

Back when I played College Hoops 2k they had a feature on your team management screen where you allocated the available game minutes to all the players on your roster. So, for example, if you wanted a guy to get 10 minutes at the SG but also 10 minutes at SF then you could set that, and the cpu would follow your plan during simmed games (and real games if you turned on auto-sub).

This might work with The Show, but instead of minutes you set the number of games (or percentage of games) you want that player to start, with "against LH" or "against RH" as additional options. So if you want a player to get some starts at 3B but also 1B you could set this at your depth chart screen.

Id like to see RTTS looked at closer and try to put it more in line of realism. It really needs some tweaking. Make it harder to get to the show. You shouldnt be 18 and be in MLB in the first season or 2. If someone wants to do that, then that is what sliders are for. Look at the people that make starting pitchers. You shouldnt be pitching complete games and throwing 120+ pitches an outing with a stamina of 65 when you are completely gassed by the 5th or 6th inning. Make, making it to the show mean something. Creating a player knowing you will be at mlb level in a season or at worse 2 is no surprise. Make it more of a wonder if you will ever get to that level.
Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
      CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

And this is for during simming?

          This would be sweet.

Heck, even OOTP doesn't do that. A story might generate about talks on a top player but nothing like rumored possible deals, opinions from your team's media about theoretical trades, etc. (That I've seen at least).

You made me just think of another request. How about letting us make our own custom logos for all teams from MLB down to A? Adding a Create-A-Team feature with same added custom logo option would be even more ideal.

Depth Chart system will be nice. I'd be happy with system where you choose who ever the back up is at a certain position on simmed games when players need a day off. Seems like the CPU seems to select who ever the best fielder is who can play that position so you may have bench player getting very little AB's even though he's better hitter than the other bench player who gets most of the starts. Think a good depth chart system would help. Maybe have 2 depth charts when facing RHP and LHP. Would be helpful when you sim bunch of games in a row.

This has probably been covered but the xp points you get while baserunning on RTTS are awful. I continue to get zero or 3 points if I make a well timed jump on a hit and get to 3rd. Or even if I actually score a run by tagging up I only get a couple of points at the most.

Yet if I am on 1st, on auto baserunning and the hitter gets a home run, I get like 10 points from literally not even touching the controls and getting a '1st to home on a hit'

                      It's ridiculous.

I apologize if this was mentioned in previous posts.

I'd love to see the addition of the World Baseball Classic for 17. I am sure this has more to do with licensing than anything, but it would be a cool addition, especially since it is a WBC year in 2017.

How about a baserunner window for runners on 2B? When using the Pitcher view, it is impossible to tell anything about the runner at 2B...including whether he is leading off (unless I look at 2B). I've never understood why the windows are there for 1B/3B, but not for 2B. If anything, lose the window for the 3B runner, since he can't go anywhere.

I would love the ability to import players into an existing Franchise. Also, a relocation/expansion would be nice.

When you trade for a player mid-season it would be nice if you take on the remaining money on the contract and not the full contract in that year.

                            Example
Aaron Hill is under contract in 2016 for $12MM
Traded to the Red Sox on 7/7/16
Red Sox pay $5.5MM of his contract

The ability to include money in trades would be great also.

*IRL Arizona is still on the hook for a majority of Aaron Hill's contract in 2016. I just used the above example as a way to make it less complicated in the game but a way for you to not use a majority of your budget on one player at the trade deadline.

Not sure if it's a wish but more of a fix:

The fans waving the rally towels is a nice touch but the fans are not twirling the towels above their heads like irl.

                                Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?

I'm a huge fan of this game but I'd really like to see SCEA take strides towards making it great. Here are some of my ideas to begin getting there:

Make managers matter - Having managers that either grant or take away ability points in different areas makes the managers mostly stale and unimportant. Managing style should replace the current system or add too it. With player ratings constantly fluctuating in this game the manager "abilities" are moot. Also have the managers have their records posted...makes for more realism and creates a better narrative on why you should hire or fire a coach based on success/failure, coaching style and ability to reign in and handle big/volatile star players (ie dusty baker and buck showalter).

Early contract extensions - I shouldn't have to wait until the offseason to re-sign my players or coaches (coaches especially), if I see a player tearing it up in the last year of his deal and want to ink him before he goes to free agency or to avoid arbitration I should be able to. Also why would I ever let my manager who just won the world series for hit the open market...there should be a team exclusive period to re-sign managers/coaches as well. You should also make an attempt to adding a realistic international free agent signing period.

More signature gear and player creation options - there have been some nice additions and developments over the past 2 iterations were signature gear is invovled, please continue to expand upon that. The more the better!! Player creation has been rather stale for years now. While the ability to edit many aspects of the players faces are great, not being able to edit body beyond the 3 or 4 options given is sad. Also the hairstyles and facial hair has not been expanded upon in years!!! There are many hairstyles that current players have that do not make the cut. Also please add in birth dates instead of just how old someone is.

Not nearly enough ratings to represent real baseball - another area where the game is definitely stale is the generic rating system. In a game that has so many different types of hitters and pitchers the games ratings are boiled down to some 18-20 ratings. What should happen here is a great deal of teen is should be added to better represent the differences in players. For example I know that Martin Prado takes the first pitch 90% of the time, that Josh Donaldson and jose Altuve are extremely aggressive hitters on 3-0 counts and that Nolan Arenado is an excellent contact hitter that doesn't draw many walks due to his aggressive approach. Tendencies for the type of hitter and pitcher players are should definitely be added.

Better sim engine - for years now I've been complaining about relievers strike outs (mainly closers) high strikeout closers never reach their real life conterparts numbers due to the Sim engine. I've seen a number of seasons where Aroldis Chapman finishes with like 50k's in 50 innings...WHAT'S UP WITH THAT!! Also the ratings should determine a players production and should be bracketed within the coding to produce outcomes that support those ratings. If a player has a 90 LHP contact they shouldn't be bat .179 against lefties, that's just nuts...again this is where tendencies come in to play. Making contact isn't everything but it's a great start.

Records, records and more records - how is it that a sport so caught up in the sanctity of its records not being represented in the game. I would have to think enough people have ranted and raved about this long enough to finally get this added in, in a much better capacity than what we currently have.

Lastly, please add more uniforms...especially the ones teams actually wear. Some of the uniforms in the game teams haven't worn for ages. Get rid of some of those tired throwbacks and add in the current Sunday and alternates for many of the teams (Seattle's Sunday cream, light blue and yellow "throwback" with the current jersey scheme, Tampa Bay's 70's style "throwbacks" which are absolutely awesome, Arizona's charcoal greys and the awesome striped socks worn by many players the past few years - currently I think only Tampa and St louis have them that's just plain wrong).

There's more but I'll just leave it there for now.
