Re: Watching MLB; If "This" Would Have Happened In The Show Thread

Runners on the corners. 1 out. I’m losing 10-9. I was down 9-2 at one point. My All-Star first baseman, who is just heating up hits a 3 run homer. The runner on first glitches and the batter runs by him rounding first base. He’s called out. A 3 run homer becomes a 2-run single. Next inning the other team homers to tie it. I swear the computer cheats so much in this game.

lost to the Mets yesterday 1-0 , their pitcher threwa complete game AND scored the lone run with a 3rd inning tater. Now either taken alone is believable but BOTH in the SAME game? Not bloody likely. ~ Cincinnati

Watching MLB; If "This" Would Have Happened In The Show Thread

Price hurls a gem, RedSox bullpen allows the first loss after leading after 8 innings in a year, and allows back to back, losing-in-the-ninth, walkoff wins for the White Sox since ‘78.

Total BS programming. That guy who gets threads closed every year is right, comeback codes have no place in this game. Especially when they start with an error, and you just KNOW it’s about to happen

In my Jays franchise I called up Baby Vladito. The CPU has pitched out of the strike zone 76% of the pitches against him! C'mon SDS! How am I supposed to rake if the CPU won't even throw strikes?!

Have you seen BabyVladdy’s base running ratings?

Here is my pitching recipe for that dude:
                Slider away
                Slider away
                Slider away
                Slider away
Roll up a double play on the next guy up.

Wouldn't matter if his speed was 100 or 0. I play with quick manage on, but it's clearly broken because no matter when I get Vladdy on base, Alen Hanson ends up magically taking over. Maybe the speed ratings are a bit off in this game, but Hanson and Luke Maile have almost identical run times this year IRL.

This 2-way player idea Sony invented was a great idea. I did something that hasn't been done in 114 years with Kung Fu Panda. Pitched a scoreless inning, hit a homer and stole a base. I just wish I had done it with Ohtani. Stealing a base with Sandoval diminished the realism.

It's funny because this is the first year that I haven't notice comeback logic I think ever in this series since it's inception. And I'm not the best at the game at all. Go fig. I do think alot of the errors by both you as a player and the CPU however feel "scripted" as hell.

The "Climb-Wall" catch button needs to be toned waaaaaaaaaaaay down.

Jackie Bradley was half way into the bullpen, up to his torso, over the wall to rob a walk-off homerun in extra innings.

                        Totally unrealistic.

Really...? No one has any comments on the NOW CONFIRMED comeback/cheating that is programmed in this game?

My pitcher DOMINATES and strikes out 17 guys in seven innings. So, obviously I know how to pitch, so I don't need any lessons.

Then, after dominating all game long, the CPU hits a two run homer off me. Obviously the cheat coding is starting to rear its ugly head.

Then, I bring in my closer who has been nails all year, and he gives up a two run job and the other team takes the lead.

Cue the obvious rubber-band effect, as I hit a ground ball to the Platinum-Gloved 3rd baseman, who MAKES AN ERROR and allows that unearned run to tie the game...

I lose in extras, but it has become painfully clear to me that if you dominate a game on the mound, and have guys swinging oars out there, the fact that the other team just hits homeruns late in the game, is ridiculous.

Obviously, the game had already decided I was going to lose this game, regardless of setting the MLB record for K's versus walks in a game.

Oh yeah, we need to talk about the Control and Consistency issues in the programming as well. C'mon SDS, 17 K's and no walks for my starter, and 22 strikeouts before one guy gets a walk??

                          Really realistic. SMH.

the problem is this ''Fenway Park'' the Studio designed. Its as bad as pitching @Fenway as it is @Coors. One minute your standing on top of the world ; the next your buried six foot under it. If SDS had put as much thought into designing Fenway as they did the Trop, those cheap homers would be non-existant. You dont get those cheap shots in Tampa. No sir, the Trop is waaay up here in stadium design and Fenway is waaay down at the bottom of the dumpster. I wish Sony would use the fine example the Trop as a sort of template and ''cookie-cutter'' the other 29 stadiums in the same fashion. Then life would be grand. Fenway = No Sale

I sure hope they add balls hitting the roof and catwalks of the Trop next year. I can't wait to see the branch animations of the fielders trying to run down carom-balls off the catwalks.

The Trop needs a visit from the Adamo Group.

The consistency in this game is so frustrating. In my franchise I either win big or lose big. I will beat a team in the first game of the series 14-1 and then get outscored 30-2 in the next 2 games. It's like my bats just die and my pitchers can't get anyone out. I may need to just switch teams. I haven't made the post-season in 17 freakin seasons with this team!! ~ Seattle Mariners
