That's strange...feels like a whole new game to me...I play HOF default with analog stride and am seeing crazy hit variety....shots into corners down both lines...lots of gappers...chopped ground balls...pop ups...homers to every part of the field..you name it...

Re: Discussion: Hits down the line
So what settings are you guys using to get the increased hit variety? Because I'm playing All Star (mainly) DD games, so vanilla sliders, with Analog Stride Zone batting, and I'm wondering if they just shipped me a copy of MLB 16 in a different box, because I'm seeing basically no new hit types AT ALL. I get nothing into the corner (again), little into the gap, no normal speed grounders through the infield, it plays exactly like last years game, so much so that I don't really notice the difference.
I'm in the same boat but I use directional hitting. I see the cpu get a bunch of good hits and some decent variety although they could get more triples. I think zone hitting is the only way to get decent hits and hit types. I can use it and without ever moving the PCI my batting average goes up considerably and I see different hits but with directional it's just crappy singles, shots straight to gloves (I mean literally directly at defenders) and homeruns. The hits are there though. Like I said I see the cpu get organic looking/feeling hits and changing hitting methods exposes some of the awesome hitting we were promised.Comment

And I'm having a completely different experience with directional hitting, I'm getting every hit type under the sun so far, even got some bloop singles the other day in my franchise game, its incredibly refreshing to seeSent from my NSA Approved DeviceComment

I think the solid hit slider is the biggest culprit. There are too many rocket shots on default All Star and Hall of Fame.Comment
