Do you start a game even though you know you can't finish it
I play every pitch and don't press x between pitches or innings to speed up a game. A game takes me around 2 hours to play. With a busy household, there are times when I know I only have about an hour to play. So I start the game and get 4-5 innings done and save. Sometimes it can be a few days before I can continue the game. But when I get back in to the game it feels different somehow. I guess I'm not "in the zone" anymore, especially if I was hitting well. CPU pitchers seem to get an energy boost somehow. Am I just imagining this? Do you only start a game if you know you can finish it?Yankees modern day

I do....but I only manage the games, so I guess it's different in that respect.
I certainly would feel like it's a different game if I was hitting/pitching.

Unrelated but:
I swear the dev's told us we would have the ability to play a whole 3 game series this year without exiting out back to the main screen. Did they just make that up? I don't see the option to play the next game when I finish a game in my season.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

I think it's just in your head. I've been using the In-Game Save for years. I'll start a gm hoping to finish, esp if it's late @ night only to save cause I'm to tired! Lol.
It's just getting back in the feel of game from the layoff I believe. Gotta get warmed up! 😜PSN- JBoo2911Comment

in franchise, you don't have to go to the main menu to play the next game after the game is over it goes to the schedule and from there you can select the next day and start the game.Comment

Re: Do you start a game even though you know you can't finish it
I know a lot on these forums trump the year to year save as the best feature they've ever added to The Show but for my money it's the in game saves that are the best feature as I almost never get to complete a full game in one sitting.MLB: TORONTO BLUE JAYS
NFL: MINNESOTA VIKINGS
NHL: TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS
NBA: TORONTO RAPTORSComment

Re: Do you start a game even though you know you can't finish it
Yes I start a game sometimes only knowing I can go three innings. Thank goodness for in-game saves, or I'd probably have a chance to finish a month on the schedule. I'm still on PS3.Comment

I use suspend mode sometimes as well, but I am always worried I'll lose power or something, so I save most of the time.Comment

Re: Do you start a game even though you know you can't finish it
I normally won't start a game if I know I can't finish it.
On the occasion where something comes up and I have to leave, I will save it, but I agree that it's never the same when you come back. I think its just the fact that a baseball game 'evolves' as you play through, and when you stop for an extended period of time you lose that.
I even struggle if I have to pause for 10-20 minutes...Comment

There's alwayse time for baseball. The dishes might be piling up, or my brother might need me to carry him to get some groceries, hell, even if the house were to be on fire, I'll be danged if I don't get my nine in. Baseball be serious businessT-BONE.

While I usually don't start a game without the time to finish it, I'm often on call for work, so things can change in a hurry. In-game saves are essential to me.Comment
