How many beakers must explode in a ball of glass & fire before an experiment can be deemed a failure? -

On Directional good luck even putting the ball in play with him lol. I notice pitchers usually throw a lot high and outside fastballs. If youre able to lay off the garbage you've got a chance to hit one to never ever land.Comment

Also, it was mentioned earlier comparing Carter to Rob Deer. He can;t even carry Deer's jockstrap. Now Ron Kittle, Carter could be a clone.T-BONE.

Re: Chris Carter LOL Anyone else have him?
I have a personal rule where I can not trade players during the season - I just have too much advantage. Thus I've been trying to figure out what to do with him. I like the idea of a 2nd clean up - maybe bat him 8th. If he walks the pitcher can bunt his slow *** over.Comment

Looking at his hotzone chart, that makes sense. Even if you throw him a high fastball in the strike zone on the top outside corner, the percentages are in your favor.

The two are almost identical in production. Almost literally identical.
Deer had a slightly higher OBP (.012), in 1 more point in wRC+ (111 vs 110).
It's almost creepy how similar the two players are. That's probably where that comes from. Hard to argue when looking at most of the numbers.
I don't know how Deer ends up with 12 more career WAR because they don't look 12 wins different anywhere else."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment
