Thank you so much for the help guys, I am now fully off and running in my 30 Team Franchise, playing as the Nats.
This may be for the slider section, but when simming the CPU games , they do show a LOT of "hits"--usually about 10 -12 each team (not always though)
As a novice to MLB is this about right?

What day are you supposed to sim to in order to start sending players down to get the correct lineups? Opening day is march 29, so am i supposed to get to march 28th to send players down? Again sorry for a question thats probably been asked a bunch, but thanks for any help

This year in 17 I actually ran spring training for each team to give all players a chance to start who normally wouldn't and get stats for these guys, then I sent 5 down each week. So to get the 25 man that I wanted for each team I did send the final players down on the 28th (or my equivalent date right before the start of the season). When i rolled over into the new season the CPU did not change the players in MLB but did balance AAA and AA (at least to get 25 men per squad). Last year I did not do this and the CPU made what it thought was the best final cuts. So if you want certain players up, and you control all 30 teams, and you just set for the time being free agents, 40 man, waivers (whatever the settings are) to manual (so CPU doesn't try to sign anyone off waivers) you can set your 30 teams to the proper 25 man squads you want.

So I got fed up with unrealistic trades and things the past few years so decided to do 30 team control this year. I have control of all 30 teams, but trades are still being made without having me review them for all but my 1 team that I play with that is on a separate profile. What did I do wrong? Everything else is working fine, but I want trades to happen, but I want to be able to review them before they happen to make sure they are realistic.

I did 30 team control in the past, but I'm just going to do single team control this year due to less time to invest in the things other than actual games.

My question is, using OSFM rosters that have players in A ball for injuries, suspenions, etc, how/when will they get moved up to AAA? For example, will Yuli Gurriel stay in A ball all season if I'm controlling a different team or will the game's logic move him to MLB? Do I need to edit the rosters before hand so bonafide MLB guys who are in A ball for whatever reason on the OSFM will play in the 2018 season? Thanks.

I just learned that the ability to review trades and reject them was removed back in 17, but carryover franchises could still use them. So that may be the issue. Someone indicated that if you set up with force trades you can trade guys back to avoid those problems. I don't know if you have everything set to manual for trades if then you will NOT see any trades (in theory, that would be the case) and only trades you want to make will happen, but then you lose the CPU making trades on their own.

Thanks for the info, that is helpful. That is too bad that they took that out, that makes it a lot more difficult, but I guess I could try the forced trades. I have everything on the computer set to manual so they are making trades, I just don't want any unrealistic ones, like the Yankees trading Stanton or something like that, that I have seen in the past seasons.

I saw a discussion of this a few days ago but can't remember which thread it was in.

In franchise mode with 30 team control on and the CPU teams' profile set to Manual trades, the CPU is still trading on its own. Is there a way to stop this?

recheck your settings. And also, check the "settings file Association" and make sure each team has the correct profile.

Reason I say this, Is I am 58 games into my franchise, 30 team control. two separate profiles, one for my team, and one for every other team, and I have yet to see any trades by the CPU with settings on manual.

Is there a way for the cpu to not mess with my 25 man roster?

Everytime I start a season and use my rosters they always keep the 40 man roster intact, but constantly reset the 25 man part to the team.

Like KTD1976 said, check the profiles and the set team association settings. if on Manual for the CPU and the team associations are set right you shouldn't see any CPU trades. I don't use those buttons on the main screens...that sometimes is the problem with roster and 40 man issues too.

I said I have settings on Manual for every team, and have not seen any trades (exactly as it should be with the settings on manual).

I told him to check his settings, and file association settings, as something must not be right, because I have not seen the issue he mentioned.

I just received a trade offer in my Tiger's franchise

30 team control. Tigers set to my profile, other 29 teams set to a second profile. Trades on Auto (I switched it from Manual to Auto on June 1st.

June 10th, the Angels offered me a trade.
