1 vs 30 Team Control Question

This is my 1st year with PS/The Show (previously had Xbox). I am leaning towards 30 team control as i like my sports games to have the most realism possible. Just looking for clarification on a few things. I just watched the video that was posted below about setting up 2 profiles.

    (1) Does the CPU profile adjust for hot/cold streaks? Like a team has a guy in a 2-50 slump or something. will they adjust the lineups or is that something you have to oversee and micromanage?

    (2) What about injuries? Pitcher A goes on DL, do you have to place on DL and adjust the rotation or will the profile take care of that?

    (3) What happens in offseason? Will they sign FAs and whatnot? or do you have to micro manage who goes where?

Like stated, i want as most realism as possible but i also dont have 5 hrs a day to devote to going through every teams MLB/AAA/AA roster and adjust for injuries/hot/cold streaks.

Also, any advice on a team to use? I am a Red Sox fan, but i like the whole "take a bad team and rebuild approach". I would like a bad team with a below avg to bad ML system - but that has 1 or 2 young corner stone players that i can build around. I was thinking COL (Arenado & Story) or CIN (Hamilton).

    Thanks!

Re: 1 vs 30 Team Control Question

You can give the CPU as much or as little control as you want.

If you leave everything on CPU, they will manage lineups, DL, minor leagues, scouting, the draft, free agency, etc. on their own.

Re: 1 vs 30 Team Control Question

      1) I'm not sure if they necessarily adjust lineups based on performance. I would think they would, but I'm not sure. They do adjust lineups on their own though.

      2) The CPU profile will handle all injuries and DL placement.

      3) The CPU profile will sign free agents just as if you were using single team control.

For the most part, the 2 profile method of using 30 team control is exactly like using single team control, except you can take complete control of your league whenever you want. That's what makes it so great! If the CPU makes a silly trade that would never happen in real life, you can just switch over to that team and reverse the trade. Same thing for unrealistic free agent signings. The only thing you don't get is functional GM goals. You can still see all the goals, but you can't get fired for not completing them.

      Hope this helped!

      P.S.

I think I'll be rolling with the Padres this year. Seems like a solid rebuilding challenge!

My first SHOW since the PS2 days, but from what i've gathered you can set it to 30 team control but set it so its basically like you're just running your team.. but can step in at any time to override any CPU sillyness then give them control back.
