Is 30 Team controlled franchise right for the way I play?

First of all, thanks to all the peeps on here who have guided me though the choppy waters as I begin my second year playing The Show. First, the exposition:

I like to start of with the real rosters, and then consider everything from then on to be in a "virtual world'. I'm not concerned with what the real MLB teams are doing in terms of trades and call ups, my goal is to win a world series for my team, fairly and within the rules of reality of course. Once (or if) that is accomplished, I want to move to whatever appears to be the worst team in MLB and play as them for however many seasons it takes for them to win a championship.

All that being said, is 30 team control the way to be able to switch teams when you want to?

    Thanks, JB

30 team control isn't to avoid the virtual world and be like real life. It can but many, including me, use it to keep it realistic. While it's a virtual world, there's some things CPU does that just is crazy and needs help, this allows you to help with that while playing the same as a single team franchise (except gm goals)

Oh, I know.. I didn't mean to indicate otherwise. Just want to make sure before I start that this is the best way to be able to have freedom of changing teams over the course of a franchise.

I'd love to control one team and see the CPU manage the other teams realistically. However, in past versions (not sure if improved in 16), the CPU logic gets worse as you get later in the season. Relievers fill starting pitching roles, trades get irrational, etc. 30 team with most things set to auto is really easy but gives you the power to make changes if needed. Only thing I don't like is you need to sim all games in the day prior to yours to see the scores on the in stadium scoreboards and on the score update bar.

That's basically the same whether you control 1 or 30 teams, right?

No. With one team control you do not have to simulate all other games prior to yours to get the in game scoreboard updates and score updates in the ticker. With 30 team control you essentially control every team. So the score updates do not show up unless you sim the game prior to the one you're planning to play. It's not that big of a deal at all but I usually sim the other games trying not to look at the final score. Just adds realism for me if I don't know who won other games ahead of mine. Or I find out the finals while playing mine. Hope that makes sense.
