Conquest troubles

I will try not to make this a rant...
How do I lose in Conquest, up by 2 with 1 out left in the game and I make 3 errors in a row(all fielding, none by me throwing) to lose the game? 3 errors!
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
This can not be the "luck of the draw" bad luck or whatever you want to call it. This can only be the CPU turning this on me, how is it not?
I don't want to be that guy who blames the CPU for losing but this one was completely out of my control, and very unfair might I add.
Please someone comfort me here, I'm just trying to understand... I just don't get it.

It happens man. I have seen teams make 3 errors in a row before. Hell, the Padres made 5 errors in 4 games against the Phillies last week.

It's as scripted as FIFA. I blow a scoring chance and the very next half inning the other team hits a HR even though I've shut them down leading up to it.

No it's scripted and if the game has decided you are going to lose then you're going to lose. I've played enough sports games in my time to realize this.

I'm usually not the guy that jumps on the 'CPU CHEATED ME' bandwagon, I moreso defending it most times.

But this game has something else when you get to the bottom of the 3rd. Times where I just chalked it up and said they just wanted me to lose that one. Once you play enough you can actually feel it coming...

I've never got three errors in a row. But 6 times out of 10 if you're leading in the bottom of the 3rd and theres a slow dribbler, the 3B, SS, 2B is GOING to have either a bobble on the grab or a throwing error. It's so blatant it's comical.

I've had 3 games where there was a gapper, or a shot hit in the OF and my guy just wouldn't throw the ball. No panic, no crazy button mashing. A smooth throw like I do 30+ times a game. He just doesn't throw the ball and runners advance.


With Madden/2K, I'm not an advocate of the dreaded 'comeback code', guys focus more when the game is on the line, it happens in real life, and sometimes you just can't stop it. But this stuff in conquest is on another level, I actually told my guy the other day that I don't feel like a game has cheated me with computer code this bad since I was a kid. And in MY experience, anyone who's doubting this just simply hasn't played the mode on any level at All-Star or above enough. I implore you, play 10 games and come back to this thread afterwards. It's EXTREMELY fun and it's kind of an arcade mode so I don't mind the 'cheating', but to deny that it's there is nonsensical.

Either way, I'll still be playing it, and laughing at the results win or lose. Hope you guys don't take yourselves, or this mode too seriously. It's an AWESOME mode and an awesome game. Enjoy it!

Yeah it's at a point where I don't score WRSP than I know I've lost because I'm going to get HR cheese.

I've cut into the cheese a bit by intentionally walking stars, power hitters, and anyone with all red in the strikezone but it still happens or I walk someone and a gapper happens.

But it happens... Look at the Royals last year in the DS. 3 straight errors in the 8th to leave the game up for grabs.

I know the CPU cheats in Conquest. I had a force of 8 two hexes away from Houston's Stronghold. The two tiles between us had 1 million fans, and the Stronghold somehow had zero. I was in the Attack phase, so I knew that it would be easy. I simmed the first attack (won), so I now had 7 million one hex away. All of a sudden, 4 million fans appeared in the hex between me and the stronghold. Not sure how/where they came from. None of the surrounding tiles had them, and the stronghold was still at zero.

I was in the Attack phase still, so no new fans should have been able to be moved to that tile.

Wow I'm actually blown away with the support and other stories everyone has shared. Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciate it.
I'm still learning this mode and am taking it too seriously so I'll work on that. This just blew me away and was so blatant I couldn't believe it.
I currently have Jay Bruce in RF, he dropped the ball for one of the errors and he's a very good fielder. I know he's made errors before but I just really wanted this game.
Ok, I'll move on now lol
