I just hit my first one finally on 15 with Jake Arrieta. Game 46 of season two. This is a bizarre game. I'm playing the D backs, they make 2 throwing errors on the first two plays of the game. Later in the first Patrick Corbin gets injuried throwing and leaves the game. Daniel Hudson comes into the game and we get 3 runs in the first.

Arrieta is the first batter in the bot 2nd. I'm thinking throphy so I guess high fastball and finally got it. I work at home so I take a break here or there and play an inning at a time throughout the day so lots of game left.

200 games on 15 and still learning. Finally got the slide step achievement last week. Now if I could pick someone off.

Unreal, after 200 franchise games without a hr by a pitcher we do it in back to back games. This time it was Travis Wood. I also got the catch an out of play ball achievement finally during the same game.

Good: When your pitcher comes to the plate in the first inning of your Opening Day game.

Better: When in that same scenario he hits one hard enough to trigger the no-doubt camera.

Still yet to hit a HR with a pitcher this year, but Arrieta was 1/2, with TWO walks in my latest game last night. I think that's the first two walk game I've had with any player this year.

I came close to hitting number two with Mike Leake last night against the Pirates. The ball was caught by Marte up against the wall. I thought I had hit Leake's second on the year.

Finally got my first this year, with John Lackey at Miami. Pulled to LF. Of course, it came just after he'd given up 5 runs in the second inning, so it wasn't as good a feeling as it should have been

My first on 16 was DeGrom...more amazingly I hit one with Colon on Friday, I actually said to myself "that's pretty unrealistic"...then he goes and does it IRL yesterday!

What really dissapointed me was that on both occasion there was ZERO acknowledgment from the commentary team that it was my pitcher, especially dissapointing for colon as he's a notoriously poor hitter. I didn't even get the 'first career HR' graphic, which is ironic.

Not very immersive.

John Lackey. First pitcher HR I've hit in 5 years of playing the show, specifically the Cubs. And I'm a pretty decent hitter on the game.

I've hit 2 with Carson Smith. On back to back days, that was 2 weeks ago, I don't see it happening again in the near future.

Last time I hit a home run with a pitcher was MLB 12 The Show, with Brandon Beachy. Haven't hit one in any game since!
